That was the first ever Leicester kit I owned. Would love them to re-issue the away shirt from that season. The green with yellow stripes was a fantastic looking kit. Shame we never actually won a game in it.
mancunianfox Posted 28 June 2010 Author Posted 28 June 2010 The green and yellow kit is better but I would be suprised if they re-issued it. They would a good bit of money on it if they did though...given the number of posters on here who love that kit. Fingers crossed on that one.
Babylon Posted 28 June 2010 Posted 28 June 2010 Finally some good news... I'll need to find a little iron on admiral badge though. Shouldn't the stripes stop and not go through the IND COOPE Logo?
mancunianfox Posted 28 June 2010 Author Posted 28 June 2010 Correct you are. It is still cool though.
Malinki Posted 28 June 2010 Posted 28 June 2010 My very first Leicester shirt and my fav to boot - I actually bought a re-issue last time they were in the club shop, 100% cotton and very well made, its one of my fav t-shirts and casual enough that you can wear it as if it wasn't a footie shirt. These remakes however, I'm not so keen on - maybe its the IND COOPE in the wrong font that does it....? It also looks like its been made outta the orignal material
MC Prussian Posted 28 June 2010 Posted 28 June 2010 Ooer... A must-buy for the upcoming season... It'd have been nice if there had been some name printing options available and the Admiral logo on the front, but what the heck. Retro rules.
Shrenchel Posted 28 June 2010 Posted 28 June 2010 Crackin idea but the way the pinstripe goes through the O makes it look piss. I can see how looking at a photo of the original shirt when designing the replica would have been really time consuming and properly not worth it though.
TWUKO Posted 28 June 2010 Posted 28 June 2010 Saw this appear in the club shop about 4 weeks ago, its very nice, silky material, a little like the current home shirt. They did one of these about 6 years ago home and away versions minus the ind coope, I got a home one, that was a cotton type material. Would like to see this as a new home shirt, with the green and yellow away one, would look great! Will definetly get this retro one though, prob wait for the price to go down tho .
mancunianfox Posted 28 June 2010 Author Posted 28 June 2010 The weird thing is that this kit is the same design as the green and gold one (notice the pinstripes do go through the 'O' unlike on the home shirt). The collar is also slightly different as well.
mancunianfox Posted 28 June 2010 Author Posted 28 June 2010 Having said that theres also a Blue one where the pinstripes do go though the Ind Coope. Odd.

I was in there with my mate a few weeks back and they had the '82 shirt (I think) still at full value and that'd been in the store for ages.
OzFox Posted 28 June 2010 Posted 28 June 2010 Still got my original. In good nick too. Bit of a squeeze getting into it these days though
Narborough_fox Posted 28 June 2010 Posted 28 June 2010 It is a very very nice kit, have to be skint don't I¬ <_<
RGFox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Ooer... A must-buy for the upcoming season... It'd have been nice if there had been some name printing options available and the Admiral logo on the front, but what the heck. Retro rules. Any idea where we can get an admiral logo? Been waiting for this shirt for a few years! Quality!
MC Prussian Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 A little bit of consumerism to get over the bleak offseason never hurts. Can anyone who's already seen this Retro shirt in real life confirm that the shirt sizes correspond with the ones from the current kit? Not that I order an S only to find out I should've gone for an M.
Ozwin Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Any idea where we can get an admiral logo? Been waiting for this shirt for a few years! Quality! You can buy logos and get them put on the shirt? I'm definately interested if that's possible!
C.J Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 O yes! Put my name down for one of those. the search begins for an admiral badge
