Guest DavidJCW Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Please God let Spain win!!! Anyone but the f**king Germans!!! Here's hoping that Torres, who massively improves, and Villa suddenly click and run rings around the German back line!
leicesterfox86 Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Germany qualified more discreetly (a group stage without big surprises) They have been underrated so far as you can read it in this World Cup blog article They have a young fit team, competent, organized, consistent. They struggled against Serbia but showed great play in front of teams which should have been more difficult to defeat. And they have Klose who, even after a pretty bad season in Germany, is now in the running to win the golden boot. I hope Spain to win, I think it will be Germany.
marbelladave Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Germany are a good team composed of decent relatively low profile players, the team ethic is everything. Spain clearly have the better individuals but still play well as a team, even close to their best they will take some beating so Spain should win. Germany beat Argentina largely by snuffing out Messi, Argentina's only real playmaker, Spain have Iniesta, Xavi and Alonso and if they need fresh legs, Fabregas. Germany will struggle to keep them all quiet. Having said that you can be damn sure the Germans will have a plan to deal with the threat, be interesting to see how the do with it.
Tilley Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Spain should win I suppose but the Germans will definitely not make it easy for them, however they will miss Thomas Mueller.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Spain all over, I hope I think the Germans have been made to look good so far. They beat Spain I stand corrected.
Ashley Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Spain 3-2 win. David Villa (2) & Torres. Klose & Podoloski for Germany.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 I want Spain as I got Villa to be top scorer so don't want any German to score. I don't think Spain are as good now as they are hyped up to be and were in 2008. I couldn't call this one.
AmericanScott Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 I'm just waiting for the psychic octopus to predict it for me so i can win some more moniess. He said they'd beat the Argies so i stuck a bet on it and won £12 back There's a fake picture going around the web at the moment of "Paul" picking Spain. Even SkyNews think it's real haha
Sparky Posted 7 July 2010 Posted 7 July 2010 I reckon Schweinsteiger should be well up for this. Sky sports news showing a interview with him after 2008 final when the Spanish team fly in to the media centre doing a conga to celebrate thier win !
CKB Posted 7 July 2010 Posted 7 July 2010 I'm just waiting for the psychic octopus to predict it for me so i can win some more moniess. He has predicted.....SPAIN!

How do you know it's fake? And B. How on earth do you go about making a fake video of an octopus landing on a box with a spanish flag on it?! And why would you
ScouseFox Posted 7 July 2010 Posted 7 July 2010 Want Germany to win this, get £14 if they get to the final, £50 if they win it.
Salieri Posted 7 July 2010 Posted 7 July 2010 Spain looking more likely at the moment but we all know what the Germans can do on the counter attack...
Narborough_fox Posted 7 July 2010 Posted 7 July 2010 Germany are a good footballing team because they have total footballers, for example Shweinsteiger is an attacking centre midfielder yet Loew is asking him to play in defensive midfield and he happily will, imagine how SWP or Lennon would react to being asked to play in defensive midfield. Another example of this is Philip Lahm one of the best left backs in the world being asked to play at right back and doing it happily, think again the outrage which would be caused if Ashley Cole was asked to play on the right.
