MikeyT Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 more chance of scoring in Liquid nightclub than on the pitch!! He may not be a favourite of alot of people, but he's a Leicester payer so c'mon support him. Game hasn't even kicked off yet!
Babylon Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Out and out wingers means crossing, not passing. When using out and out wingers it is preferable if you have aerial presence in the box, which we don't have. They have more to their game than crossing. Fryatt didn't do too bad when he was on the end of N'Guessans cross against QPR last year.
ousefox Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Jesus wept. Compare it to the team who played Cardiff and you would be stupid not to call it disappointing
Babylon Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Personally I think going forwards it's a bloody exciting team. We need more defenders, but I'm sure that's being worked on.
Madrid_Fox Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 They have more to their game than crossing. Fryatt didn't do too bad when he was on the end of N'Guessans cross against QPR last year. Its very easy when you are unmarked like Fryatt was in that game.
Petchy Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Everyone's got to remember that we have three players who cannot play (Gallagher, Vitor and Moreno), and there's basically three players on the bench we wouldn't normally choose - so it evens it self out really. Sousa's picked from what he's got!

More to it than just crossing, tbh neither Dyer or Danny have been consistently great when it comes to crosses. Worst comes to worst we've got Howard on the bench, and give Sousa a chance at the very least he's starting off with a pretty aggressive set up.
wacky Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 He may not be a favourite of alot of people, but he's a Leicester payer so c'mon support him. Game hasn't even kicked off yet! It's not that i don't rate him,i do.Wellens can spray the ball about,Oakley struggles to do this. With 2 speedy lads up front you need a ball player in the middle to feed them the ball.
Dylan Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Liam Moore is a 17-year-old defender.. Has played for England U17s

Sousa's picked from what he's got! Agreed. This is the best team we can put out with the players available. (apart from Oakley for obvious reasons)
Babylon Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Compare it to the team who played Cardiff and you would be stupid not to call it disappointing What did you expect? You knew they had already left. Alex Bruce - Morrison is better Nolberto Solano - Didn't do much Richie Wellens - on the bench Jay Spearing - Was decent but nothing amazing. Martyn Waghorn - We have Campbell in good form Paul Gallagher - Injured
Babylon Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Its very easy when you are unmarked like Fryatt was in that game. Have a word with yourself.

It's ok i do understand what your saying. We just have to wait and see what happens this first half i think.

Worst comes to worst we've got Howard on the bench, and give Sousa a chance at the very least he's starting off with a pretty aggressive set up. If they are not there to put crosses in why not put players on the wing who can keep the ball? E.g. Wellens.

Much better than Oakley imo.
Madrid_Fox Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Have a word with yourself. Have a look at the goal yourself, he was left unmarked.
jimmer Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Really looking forward to this, come on lads, lets see some style
foxoffderby Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 If they are not there to put crosses in why not put players on the wing who can keep the ball? E.g. Wellens. because wellens plays centre midfield...
Salieri Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Unbelievable the amount of moaning on this thread already. It's gonna be a long afternoon.
MikeyT Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Unbelievable the amount of moaning on this thread already. It's gonna be a long afternoon. Indeed. First game of the season coming up...let's just enjoy it!!!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Unbelievable the amount of moaning on this thread already. It's gonna be a long afternoon. It'll goet even longer if Palace take the lead.

Martyn Waghorn - We have Campbell in good form Paul Gallagher - Injured I didn't expect us to have a great team, and it is disappointing compared to last season where we had a bench with players who could all potentially start. It's still a good team but definitely not as good as the team who played Cardiff. Alex Bruce - Would rather have him in the centre and Morrison on the right. Nolberto Solano - Better than Neilson Richie Wellens - Shouldn't be on the bench IMO Jay Spearing - We have a weak/young bench would be better Martyn Waghorn - Same /\ Paul Gallagher - N/A

Flynny Posted 7 August 2010 Posted 7 August 2010 Only thing that really made me double take was Neilson. Bah. Could do with Vitor and Tunch fit soon.

So hush your whinging and get behiend the players who we have got.
