Mee Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 IMO, the goal music is just to sort of make the fans seem louder. I prefer no music, just the crowd 'roaring'.
Guest Bilo Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 We even had Tranmere and Stockport fans taking the piss out of Chelsea Dagger. And Forest looked like a right bunch of windowlickers dancing to it last season. Goal music just isn't necessary. We cope pretty well without it away from home and we coped for over 100 years without it at home. If Filbert Street had ever had goal music, I guarantee memories of the place would be nothing like as fond as they are.
Suffolk_fox Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Yes. "Celebration music" (what a cringeworthy phrase by the way) is used in this country as nothing more than crowd control to get people clapping along like idiots, then sitting back down in silence once the clip ends. Spontaneously celebrating a goal should be the best part of any match, can't understand why so many want to deny themselves that joy. However, I will admit Glad All Over looked and sounded quality at Palace the other week. It sounded wank! I think Clubfoot or Empire when the players come onto the pitch, but please for the love of Thracian, NO GOAL MUSIC!
h1210 Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Good god you must be joking, surely ! Get rid of all the bleeding music or stick with Kasabian and be proud the best band in Britain is from Leicestershire !! gotta be a wind-up
marbelladave Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 A solitary bell tolling Maybe 'Liberty Bell'... A Sousa composition, keep it in the family I say! At least most people will know the tune...
Collier Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 After Rangers score they play My Name Is by Eminem.
Simmo86 Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Some people Nothing should be played and it's small-time as fvck even debating it. We may aswell be MK Dons sometimes. This
smallpauldj Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 im on the no music side, dont mind the goal horn but the music is just shit! as for the few that say but there from leicester so were showaddywaddy but you wouldn't wanna hear that when we scored
stix Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Well if all the rumours about this seasons transfer kitty are true there is only one posible song... .. ... ...and it should be played for the whole 90 mins and just turned up louder when we score
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 I'm happy with Fire, but rather have nothing.
Walkers Wench Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 I personally like the idea of music when we score but don't like the kasbian song I dont mind the one we use before the game but not that one. If it was up to me I'd have something cheesy and easy to sing along to to name a few granted most of these would probably suck but just a few ideas Livin on a prayer - Bon Jovi Hey baby - unknown (can't for the life of me think of who sung it) Vindaloo - Fat Les (I know its an england one but sod it) I've got the power - snap (appropriate if kingy scores because of the owners) I do like the idea of individual music though that might be a fun idea ...u don't frequent liquid envy on church gate of a friday night do you?
s11nny Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 I feel good - James Brown or nothing good shout! James Brown - I Feel Good would be immense, i can picture it now.
C-man Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 good shout! James Brown - I Feel Good would be immense, i can picture it now. Eurgh. Every time I hear it at the Reebok on TV it makes me want to die.
tomtom Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 gotta be a wind-up Why ?.... you more of a girls aloud man ?
tomtom Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 im on the no music side, dont mind the goal horn but the music is just shit! as for the few that say but there from leicester so were showaddywaddy but you wouldn't wanna hear that when we scored Man city play oasis, Man united play the roses, Liverpool play local bands, So what's wrong with us playing Kasabian if we have to play music when we score ! Saying that I'd prefer it before the match not after a goal
Bugg Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Man city play oasis, Man united play the roses, Liverpool play local bands, So what's wrong with us playing Kasabian if we have to play music when we score ! Saying that I'd prefer it before the match not after a goal We do play Kasabian before the match.
marbelladave Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 showaddywaddy under the moon of love I would have thought that you, at least, would have supported my call for us to play Liberty Bell.... We could do some politickin'. I will support Showaddywaddy for goal music if you support Liberty Bell as a replacement for the Post Horn Gallop. Deal?
tomtom Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 We do play Kasabian before the match. Sorry , I Ment as in only play it before and not after goals ......it was defending Kasabian really to the previous poster
howsyourfather Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 I don't want music when we score but if I had to make one exception it would be ted hankey's entrance music
Simmo86 Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Would prefer noting but Kasabian is the best of a bad bunch! Some of the suggestions in this thread make me cringe!!
s11nny Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 mc hammer - cant touch this......would provoke some great celebrations from the players
