The Doctor Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 Don't know how many are interested in rugby but the new premiership season kicks off next weekend and Tigers played their final pre-season friendly tonight against Heineken cup holders leinster. Tigers won 37-14 with tries from Alex tuilangi (2), Manu Tuilangi, Dan Hipkiss and a penalty try. Toby Flood added 2 penalties and converted 4 tries (fifth conversion missed by staunton).
Narborough_fox Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 Will try to get to a Tigers game or two, see what my dad's work are throwing up.
Hitesh Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 Hopefully gonna make a few this season and my mate from Uni is a Scarletts fan who we have in Heineken Cup so should be heading to those!
ScouseFox Posted 5 September 2010 Posted 5 September 2010 Tigers 14-0 down to Northampton after 6 minutes.
Father Ted Posted 5 September 2010 Posted 5 September 2010 Considering the bad start from the Tigers, it was a respectable score in the end. To go to Northampton and grab 3 tries is some feat and I reckon that this will probably be the toughest game Tigers will have to face all season. This season will be a 3 horse race between Tigers, Northampton and Saracens.
ScouseFox Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 Leicester Tigers 7 - 20 Exeter Latest Score.
lildave3 Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 Leicester Tigers 7 - 20 Exeter Latest Score. 20-10 going into half time, but very poor.
ScouseFox Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 20-10 going into half time, but very poor. Hopefully we'll be strong enough to out play them second half and take the win, but yeah, not great so far.
Finnegan Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/welsh/9056033.stm Horrendous.
Father Ted Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/welsh/9056033.stm Horrendous. Awful. Doesn't surprise me though. My school is a rugby school and having played rugby I know that people go out to go for your eyes. I've seen a couple of people try it on our players and it's disgusting. Most of my mates turn up to school on a monday morning with scratches around their eyes, either where somebody tried to scratch them or studs have scraped across their faces. Needs cutting out and I hope that if the instigator of this incidence meant it, he is banned from rugby for life.
Finnegan Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Agree 100%. Definitely about the ugliest thing in the game and ultimately there's absolutely zero need for it. Most of the violence in rugby has some sort of purpose - gouging is just entirely malicious and seriously damaging.
FoxyPV Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 It's filth - pure and simple. Life bans for all gougers!
Fosse Boy Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Tries aplenty at Scarlets-Perpignan at the moment.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 A hard fought win in Italy today, but the game was great to watch. Come on lads, lets do the business again this season.
Finnegan Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 Tries aplenty at Scarlets-Perpignan at the moment. WHAT. A. GAME. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eYPkVjs9oU \o/ I could watch that over and over and over again.
Kent Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 Not into Rugby at all but noticed on the first post that you mentioned Manu Tuilagi. Was weird cos I went school with him about 2 years ago. Last I heard he was getting deported.

Was weird cos I went school with him about 2 years ago. Last I heard he was getting deported. for a while it looked like he would. Loads went off in the summer trying to keep him in the country, iirc his student visa had expired. Don't understand why he hadn't applied for a Uk passport, he's been in the country for 7/8 years i think.
The Doctor Posted 16 October 2010 Author Posted 16 October 2010 leinster 25-22 saracens. good game, alex goode was brilliant for saracens. Poor displine by leinster but their defence .Ended with saracens attacking, 31 phases and they gained about 10 yards before endng the match with a knock on.
Finnegan Posted 17 October 2010 Posted 17 October 2010 Scarlets Tigers today and I'm in a house full of Tigers fans. Great.
