sdb Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 You could cut the tension in my living room with a knife. T - 5 hours and nothing completed yet!!
Wycombe Fox Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Just seen that Milan's trying to sign Robinho! Kept that quiet you crafty Serbian.
Hitesh Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Loving deadline day, this is somewhat an unhealthy distraction to myself and my actual work! Got a meeting at 2PM which will last a few hours I reckon, I'm hoping for progress when I get back...
Ric Flair Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 What is confusing me is Sousa's repeated statement that he is going to bring in players who offer us something different and in positions we haven't already got? Well it looks like the only nailed on signings will be Waghorn, Abe and a defender. Surely that doesn't tie in with what Paulo is saying? Players we are lacking are wide players and creative midfielders and pacey strikers.
Wdywd Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 We're doing all our business now out of panic. Most of the players we're being linked with massively strike me as 'HOLY SHIT, WE BETTER DO SOMETHING!'

FrankieADZ Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 well with the signings we look like getting it looks quite good, still wanna know whether the Waghorn deal is a perm 1 tho, Also just hoping Hobbs and Kingy dont leave,
Asha Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I really hope Waghorn is a done deal, as it sounds, and that we get one or two more in. I also really hope those that submitted transfer requests manage to leave for a decent fee. I don't want players in our club that clearly don't want to play for us. Welcome home Martyn <3.
Wdywd Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 to be fair, the players we've been linked with could be a lot worse imo. Yeah I agree, just most of Sousa's signings so far he seems to have taken time over to make sure he gets the right man (whether we think he has or not is a different matter). These ones just scream panic to me. That said, if we get in Waghorn & a winger of some kind and only lose DJ I'll be very happy.

Deadline day brings all the journalists out in force and everything is done in a glare of publicity. Doesn't mean they're last minute ideas.
The Doctor Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 well with the signings we look like getting it looks quite good, still wanna know whether the Waghorn deal is a perm 1 tho, Also just hoping Hobbs and Kingy dont leave, permanant. Shown by the mention of a fee round the region of 2 mill in all but 1 source.
