the belly Posted 3 September 2010 Posted 3 September 2010 does anyone have the same problem....? i live in market bosworth hinckley area (we hate cov) and every night the bbc and itv main news ends with the saying ( and heres the news from your area) well it aint from my area... im stuck with the west midlands having to see football news from villa, brum wolves west brom hereford etc etc and even cov.... why oh why cant i have my local sports news from the east midlands......yet on bank holidays they let us sometimes have the east mids news... why only then and not every day?

I've got both west midlands and east midlands, i'm in wigston yet the tv has west midlands as the carrier for bbc, however i found a second set of bbc channels hidden away carried by east midlands. If you have a channel installation option you should be able to select: Area Name : England Carrier : East Midlands Audio PID : 0601 Video PID : 0600 PCR PID : 0600 that get's you bbc 1 East midlands - i have no idea about ITV though edit: Found details for ITV 1 east midlands Area Name : England Carrier : East Midlands Audio PID : 0650 Video PID : 0512 PCR PID : 0512 this (itv) might not work but the beeb one should definately work

Hinckley is covered by the Sutton Coldfield TX. Get Sky and you can watch any local news channel. I like to tune in to East Midlands Today for the joy of that weather dude! He's class!

Colly: the weather man is a dude yes. you've got the main one at channel 101 which for me is east midlands and the rest are at the back in the 900's channel numbers
