Official Statement On the OS re Fosse Boys

if that's the case, then why is everybody sick to death of you and are labelling you a troll, a bore, a pedant, a bum chum to the club and king pessimist and, yet, have said nothing about anyone else - if you can't see why this distinction is made, then you really are beyond saving.

i don't recall specifically 'categorising you as a lone voice' - but as i've just said, if that's how people are treating you on this board, and i think most people feel this way about you, there's probably some substance in it. i'm sure you're probably a decent bloke, but you seem determined to rub people up the wrong way - i know davieG, for example, has the thickest of skins and you clearly annoy him.

the thing is, and i'm going to get this off my chest, once and for all....

you suck the energy out of people and threads - in the last thread you went on and on, over and over about the FB declaring a desire to stand in their manifesto, telling us that we wouldn't have supported them if we knew - which we would and did. it was just interminable, no matter how many people explained the situation or tried to suggest what the real issues were.

you hide behind your self-declared neutrality and then vindicate the clubs clumsy and embarrassing actions and deceit and then criticise the FB for being divisive about the slightest inconsistencies in things they post casually on here.

in this thread you turned a positve and encouraging statement (backed up by the club's statement) from the FB into a full scale war, with your weapons of choice: negativity, pedantry and repetition.

i'm sure some people might agree with you, but they're not exactly forthcoming, as others have said, you don't actually seem to have much to say, just asking the same shit stirring questions ad infinitum

carry on as you are doing if you wish, it's a free forum, but don't get all upset when people start to complain and criticise you - it'll only happen if you're upsetting enough people often enough (which i guess you must be doing).

Fosse Boys officially allowed to shout after meeting with Leicester City

By Laura Elvin

A Leicester City supporters' group which clashed with the club has said its members are now officially allowed to shout as loud as they want.

The Fosse Boys – a 50 strong group of diehard City fans – met with Leicester City bosses last week.

It said that an agreement which sees its members get their own section of the stadium and ensures none of them will be refused entry has significantly improved relations with officials.

A meeting with the club was called after the fans claimed they had been banned from the stadium.

They said stewards told them they were no longer welcome as a group and if they attempted to attend they would be banned – and could even face arrest.

A member of the Fosse Boys, who spoke anonymously on behalf of the group, said: "The meeting went really well and we feel extremely positive about the future.

"The best thing we got out of it was opening up working channels of communication with the club.

"We both made compromises which were vital in helping us achieve our goal of stepping up the atmosphere at the Walkers."

Subject to a formal written agreement being created and agreed by both Leicester City and The Fosse Boys, the supporters' group said it is now allowed to make as much noise as it wants.

The fans also said the club has agreed that nobody will be refused entry to their allocated seat for being associated with the Fosse Boys, and that they will be allowed to freely bring banners and flags to matches.

The one sticking point for the Fosse Boys was over the issue of what the club has called "persistent standing."

In a statement the Fosse Boys, said: "This is the one issue we were unable to come to an agreement on.

"We will continue to work together to find a solution that is agreeable to the Fosse Boys and LCFC."

An official statement from Leicester City, posted on the club's website, said: "The meeting was cordial and constructive. Both parties agreed that this is not a noise issue and in effect, positively encourage the vocal support of the team.

"The club and the Fosse Boys will meet again shortly with a view to establishing a formal and permanent working relationship to mutual benefit."

A spokesman for the Fosse Boys said: "We were very disappointed with the way we were treated at the Readinggame, but that is in the past now and we hope to move forward in a positive way."

You need to stop giving anonymous statements - it makes you sound dodgier and more underground than you really are

I agree with this - I think the previous article mentioned a FB member who "did not want to be named". It does sound a bit dodgy, especially to the wider public who will be reading this in the Merc.

As I have said I would be very wary of the Club in these circumstances at the moment thay are trying to save face, when the media sh*t storm dies down they will be trying to come up with ways to hinder your group. It's obvioous that they aren't particularly happy with the groups existance.

The first time one of us gave them a quote they said they didnt want to be named in case the club took their season ticket off them, then they just never asked if they wanted to again.

but i see no reason why we can't have any of our names in the paper now, so we will th3 next time one of us does a quote

if anybody wants to come into our section tomorrow or come meet us before the game, come say hi in the ground or in the counting house

That's fair enough.

You guys should wear something so you stand out in the counting house and people can say hi.

I vote this -

Just had a vision of that bloke - dressed like that and still carrying his flare - turning up the day after the game to his job as a bank clerk or something.

I have the vision of him going round his Nans house -

'Hi Nan, I know I haven't been round in a few years but I really need a blue and white balaclava and it turns out nowhere sells them. Do you reckon if I buy you some wool you could knock one up for me?'

"Fosse Nans - designer knitwear for the discerning Ultra"?
