I will only be disappointed if the statement is that another statement will be scheduled for next week stating the details of the meeting. (seriously - I hope it's good news)
Wymsey Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 Statement from the Fosse Boys will be released at around about 4PM tomorrow. We'd like to thank everybody for there patience. Lets hope its in the best interests of the fans, not the club
Jackirius Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Finally, going to hopefully get some leeway for the guys.
Ozwin Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 I really hope it's good news, but the fact we've not heard a peep tells me it's not going to be great news. I hope I'm wrong though.

Fosse Boy Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 As promised, following last Friday’s meeting here is an update on where the Fosse Boys are. The organisers met last night to discuss an offer made by LCFC to formally recognise the Fosse Boys as an official group. Progress had been made at the meeting with the club but it was subject to a written formal agreement being created and agreed by both our group and LCFC. To Ensure LCFC was serious about our group and that everything was out in the open we requested an official statement be made by the club on the OS. As you are aware this was done very quickly by LCFC and gave the organisers reassurance that LCFC were serious about us. The formal document has to be presented to LCFC following our meeting and agreed with them before the full details can be released as the fine detail and methods of working need to be confirmed. We can clarify the following now we have agreed to move forward with the club: • There is no issue with noise; we have permission to be as loud as we are able to be. • We will have are own allocated section in the ground. • Nobody will be refused admission to the stadium for wearing a Fosse Boys scarf or any other form of Fosse Boys identification. • Nobody will be refused to go to their allocated seat for having an association with the Fosse Boys. • This agreement is subject to the group being allowed flags and banners including an agreed method of waving our flags. • TIFO (displays) will be allowed with prior agreement with the club (large scale – small scale no issue). • Regular meetings will be held with the club. • Correct and clear lines of communication between LCFC and the Fosse Boys will be established. • LCFC will not introduce any change to things agreed without formally communicating with the Fosse Boys. • LCFC will work with the Fosse Boys to improve the atmosphere at the Walkers stadium. PERSISTENT STANDING – This is the one issue we were unable to come to an agreement on. We put forward our take on the meaning of persistent and LCFC had a different view point. We will continue to work together to find a solution that is agreeable to the Fosse Boys and LCFC. We are contacting the Football Licensing Authority to discuss this matter with them so an agreement can be made.
Guest Bilo Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 That sounds absolutely fantastic sir. Genuinely excited to read all of that and we're well on the way to creating something very special. The bullying approach must now be dead and a two way street of respect opened. The bullet point about tifos has made me particularly excited. Superb stuff.
Corky Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Well done lads, you've got somewhere at least. Best of luck

mikelcfc Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 sounds promising, however does this mean you will be standing at the cardiff game?? and if so will you continue to be harrassed by stewards?
ozleicester Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Congratualtions Fosse Boys (and to their credit LCFC). This certainly sounds as though it is a very positive step forward and in fact it would appear that the FB's have not conceded a single point. There must be some superb negotiators within the FB's ranks. The lack of agreement on "persistent standing" means what exactly? (and before the uber clever ones post...no i dont want a dictionary definition of it).. what does it mean for the FB's come the next home game?
filbertway Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Odds on at least one of the FB's getting ejected for persistant standing within the next 3 home games then?
sbfox Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Congrats to all involved, it seems like you went in with a clear game plan and you have reaped the rewards. My only concerns now are: - LCFC have given a number of concessions (IMO anyway), they will be expecting you to keep to the few 'promises' you have agreed to. For example, you can't have flagpoles and you can't stand. I'd imagine that stewards will continue to pressure you to sit down, as this is one of the few things you've been specifically asked to do. If you don't comply, I can quickly see this 'agreement' degenerating. How does the group feel specifically about that proviso? More cheerfully, where abouts are the group being located to?
Ozwin Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Everything sounds good, but they're still not budging on the standing? What a bummer.
Guest Bilo Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Everything sounds good, but they're still not budging on the standing? What a bummer. They can't officially. Whether this means they'll just turn a blind eye to it as the group grows is another matter though. Let's focus on the positives for now though, everything looks so much better than it did a couple of weeks ago.
lcfc"weasel" Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 More cheerfully, where abouts are the group being located to? SK1
Houdini Logic Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 • Nobody will be refused admission to the stadium for wearing a Fosse Boys scarf or any other form of Fosse Boys identification. • This agreement is subject to the group being allowed flags and banners including an agreed method of waving our Of course you're going to be allowed flags and scarves - the club have just made you their official group and now they're going to sell Fosse Boys merch and keep the money!
1964FOX Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 There is more detail to the agreement than stated but with respect to LCFC this will be made clear when the agreement is signed and sealed. My expectation from the meeting with LCFC is that the stewards will not get too involved with us but we are wise enough to know that both sides have to compromise to make this work. Clearly the next few matches will need to be used to try and come to some agreeable point, no knee jerk reactions from either side. As said it is our intention to reach a point which is acceptable to both sides over the issue of standing. if the club treats us with respect we must respond by offering them respect back.
SamL Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 I'm pleased to see that common sense has prevailed and that the Club is now prepared to work alongside us. I'm buzzing for Tuesday.
Unabomber Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Great news about getting your own section, at least now the arsehole fans who have a problem with you don't have much of a say with regards to you all congregating.
Jodranadinho Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 congrats to the fosse boys who went to the meeting. All the points that have been stated all sound positive, with the exception of standing! I hope the standing issue will be resolved soon or at least ignored by stewards. as for flag waving, have they saw sense with us being able to wave flags without poking someones eye out? never the less, absolutely buzzin for Tuesday now, will be nice to know I'll still be able to continually wear my fosse boys scarf in pride without being turned away viva Leicester!
