sdb Posted 5 September 2010 Posted 5 September 2010 Like Watson said, Waggy and Abe's home debuts. Under floodlights, against possibly the best team in the league. Would be really disappointed with under 20k. Would expect at least 22.
The Doctor Posted 5 September 2010 Posted 5 September 2010 Tuesday night games are dull and boring..but i hope this game should be entertaining..along with my half time pie tuesday night games are beaut. There's something ever so lovely about football on a crisp autumn/spring evening.
bluefox9er Posted 5 September 2010 Posted 5 September 2010 It will be lower than 20k. +1. tickets are way too expensive. £26 a pop is just insane and greedy.
bluefox9er Posted 5 September 2010 Posted 5 September 2010 tuesday night games are beaut. There's something ever so lovely about football on a crisp autumn/spring evening. so true. Night games are just amazing, especially if we win :-)
Neil_LCFC Posted 5 September 2010 Posted 5 September 2010 +1. tickets are way too expensive. £26 a pop is just insane and greedy. And £28 on the gate is even more insane & greedier ! I say around 18k
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 5 September 2010 Posted 5 September 2010 And £28 on the gate is even more insane & greedier ! I say around 18k Still I expect I 'll tell myself I ain't going, and then end up having to fork out the extra two buttons because I twist my own arm!
ajthefox Posted 5 September 2010 Posted 5 September 2010 I rekon it'll de a decent turnout to be honest, all factors in mind. I'll be there for sure anyway.
VampLCFC Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 The first two home games this season have had a pretty poor attendance, 19,500 ish for Reading is very low, even if it was on Sky! Can't see a Tuesday night game against Cardiff being any better! I know this sounds terrible, but I think the fact that Craig Bellamy will be on the pitch is likely to be the only factor that may draw a few more to the Walkers Stadium next Tuesday
Nick Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 Looking forward to our next home game on a Tuesday night against Cardiff and I am begining to wonder if we may have big crowd for a Tuesday evening kick off taking into consideration the following Will be first home game after the official holiday season is over, most of population of Leicester are back home. Will be first home game were we could see Waghorn, Abe and any new loan signings. We are playing Cardiff bringing back the emotions of the play off semi-finals, the penalty that should not have been given (offside), the french man's mistake and Waggy wanting to put things right. Cardiff are now hot favourites to gain promation due to there current team. Bellamy! The return of the Fosse Boys??????? The issues surrounding the negative press coverage the club has had about the Fosse Boys which has brought the fans together for all sorts of more diverse reasons. A lot will depend on the Coventry result and that is not predictable but I feel the other factors will increase the normal Tuesday night attendance. My guess is an official number of 22,000. Right we all know you are a huge supporter of the entity that is 'The Fosse Boys' - that's cool. However could we not have the Fosse Boys mentioned in every thread please? The Fosse Boys we all support their ideology (Just about) however they are not here to save the world. They are not here to save the club. They will not be bringing hundreds of new fans to Tuesday's game - more likely re-appropriating them from other areas of the stadium. They will surely help the atmosphere - a degree, but will have zero impact on wether or not they'll be 22K in the stadium. Suggesting that the issues surrounding the Fosse Boys have brought the fans together in a plethora of diversity is also going a little too far. I'll also be surprised if there is more than 20K there by the time the loan deals are done and we've lost some of our better players, despite the Waghorn signing. Anyway, this match isn't till next ruddy week! Could we please keep the Fosse Boys 'locked up' (cough) in the multitude of existing threads? Ta.
Bert Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 Put it this way, it's not going to be a record breaking crowd for a night game we've had at the walkers.
1964FOX Posted 6 September 2010 Author Posted 6 September 2010 Nick I take your point and consider myself suitably chastised, I will keep the subject of the Fosse Boys to the appropriate threads.
CupidStunt Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 at £26.00 a ticket the chances of a big crowd are pretty remote pretty sure i got something through the post offering cheap tickets for this match? maybe £14?, might have this wrong, and it maybe be another match (i aint got a season ticket, but i must be on their mailing list?

They're doing discounts for fans' birthdays and encouraging them to bring friends and family along, hence the cheap ticket deals.
1964FOX Posted 15 September 2010 Author Posted 15 September 2010 20,510 was the final attendance but it felt more like 25,000 with the atmosphere in the second half. A good attendance for a Tuesday night but not quite the 22,000 I predicted.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 20,510 was the final attendance but it felt more like 25,000 with the atmosphere in the second half. A good attendance for a Tuesday night but not quite the 22,000 I predicted. Was the largest crowd of the night, so fair play to those that went, it was a great atmosphere. The Barnsley v Leeds game was the next biggest with 20,309 (7,000 Leeds fans I read somewhere) according to the BBC website.
lcfc_jme Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Not a bad turnout from our own or the Cardiff fans to be fair (1,200-odd so said Stringer?), though it did sound an awful lot better last night than it has done when the stadium has more in it. Credit where it's due and all.
Corky Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Good turnout last night, the win should get a few more thousand on the gate for Saturday.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Good turnout last night, the win should get a few more thousand on the gate for Saturday. My thoughts too. Hope the atmosphere is as good, if not better.
