New Poll - Sousa Out ?

End of September Poll

197 members have voted

  1. 1. Should Paulo Sousa now be sacked ?

    • Yes - right now !
    • Perhaps - give him 1 or 2 matches to prove otherwise
    • Not Yet - give him until Christmas, then see where we are
    • No - he is a good manager and worth sticking with, at least until the end of the season

my question why has it took this 6-1 to make people see the light? the warning signs were there half a dozen games ago.

Yes, the warning lights were there half-a-dozen games ago - that's why I posted the (first) Sousa Out Poll then ! The majority view then was that we give him some more time (I took the different view and said he should go). I don't think we can now leave it any later, if we're to save this season, he's got to go - this week !

Scoring goals and possession football aren't the issues

PLEASE look at the goals we've conceded this season. Who was to blame. What we did wrong. Then look at the goals we conceded on Friday, who was to blame and what we did wrong

Then have a look at the team selection and tactical substitutions on Friday.

Looking at those things, there is no way Sousa has an argument for why he should keep his job.

He literally has no defence!

Has everyone suddenly forgotten the Cardiff match???? I suppose you were not in the crowd singing Paulo give us a wave, and Paulo Sousa's blue & white army. Short memory loss perhaps. Lets have another 3 new managers in again & get relegated. I think we have got a very good young talented manager with some excellent contacts. I am convinced that we will turn things around very quickly. Lets get behind the team & the manager, exciting times ahead.

I'll give him the Norwich game. Anything less than a good result and he should go.

Agreed... there's only so much of a terrible start that we can have.

Unless we sign a new Centre Back (or two) on loan or otherwise by the end of the October international break in time for Hull City at home on 16th October then any vestiges of confidence in Sousa or the club's owners will evaporate and things could turn nasty.

We know that Sousa has made an effort to sign Williams from Swansea and Zayette from Hull but a definite signing is imperative to stabilise the defence.

Do you honestly believe that we would have beaten Cardiff 2-1 if they had Chopra, Boothroyd and Bellamy in that night? Our only win of the season in the league against a team missing all of their star players. Woo Hoo!!! :chant: :chant:

Blimey.

Really that bad?

Still, at least my record stands. Leicester City undefeated in matches I've attended (was at Coventry a couple of weeks ago). :giggle:

Mind you... can't quite believe that after eight games we're at the bottom, not after the season we had last year. This is going to take some turning around if we're to get back on track.

So it's your fault for not coming to watch city more frequently?

I dont know why your all worried we WILL win 2-1 tomorrow if Waggie pleys in centre and P.S. asks players which is their best postions, and shouts at them from t/line .

I was all for giving Sousa plenty of time but from what i have seen there is no progress, defensively we are still terrible, our strikers still can not score.

We can play at times pretty passing football in the middle of the pitch but thats it.

Sousa does not seem to know what his first team is and we are nearly into October :dunno:

Spot On with regards to the Pretty Passing, Great if you're playing a testimonial match.

As for the strikers.. mmmmm..let me think.. here's an idea play. Waggy as one and not a winger, and sorry Steve for the good of the team please make way for Fryatt. having said that how about we give some of the youth on the fringes a chance to shine , we can’t do any worse..we are bottom for goodness sake!

Completely agree with you BR. I don't think I've ever known a City manager so clueless as Sousa and I've been following them since 1969.

How about Peter " Here let me give you £50000 a week" Taylor??

Fryatt has been shite since the first ball was kicked this season. If that clown of a manager has got anything right since he came, it's leaving Fryatt on the bench/Out of the starting XI.

Waggy and Gally anybody?
