Matt Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 Paul Gascoigne appointed manager of non-league Garford Town. All to end in tears again?
dandannieldanok Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 Shit the bed thought that was going to be Leicester for a minute.
Matt Posted 26 September 2010 Author Posted 26 September 2010 Shit the bed thought that was going to be Leicester for a minute. I was going to post it in the Leicester forum but thought it'd be a poor joke.
BoneDog Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 Hopefully it keeps him busy and out of trouble. It's hard to see with Gazza but fingers crossed.
James. Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Given that the last time Gazza was in the news he was offering beer, chicken, a dressing gown and a fishing rod to a murder fugitive I'm not convinced this appointment is going to be entirely successful.

I say give Gazza a shot, as in all fairness, re the situation mentioned above, the fella ended up dead he couldn't of done any worse than the authorities - I reckon after sharing a bit of chicken with Gazza and hooking a couple of tench over a couple of cold ones, I reckon Gazza may well have talked him down. And in all fairness, what would have been the worst case scenario, Gazza being shot as a hostage? Darwin awards all round. Win win.
Guest Bilo Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Putting Gazza in charge of a football club? Guaranteed to go unbelievably spectacularly wrong. Quite sad really.
Mack Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 But I bet Garforth Town will make a tidy sum from all the attention.... Anyone for a replica shirt with Gazza on the back?! Oh hold on, the web site is overloaded and has crashed.
OzFox Posted 30 September 2010 Posted 30 September 2010 And in all fairness, what would have been the worst case scenario, Gazza being shot as a hostage? Darwin awards all round. Win win. Nice one
Guest Bilo Posted 30 September 2010 Posted 30 September 2010 One thing I will say is that Garforth Town have a history of publicity stunts. They had Socrates of Brazil 1970s fame playing for them for about a month a few years back.

Houdini Logic Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 He managed Kettering Town for a week but was sacked for being too drunk to compose a sentence, let alone manage a football team

Fox You Forest Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 I'm half expecting him to turn up in Chile tomorrow with a few cans some chicken and his rod.
The Doctor Posted 12 October 2010 Posted 12 October 2010 I'm half expecting him to turn up in Chile tomorrow with a few cans some chicken and his rod. fishing for miners using chicken as bait? that's just cruel - paticularly since they've just about sorted an escape hatch.
Tilley Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 and now he's been arrested on suspicion of drug possession.
