Large Frank Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 A successful manager never goes back to the club he was successful with in the past for a second spell. it will end in tears. I respect his achievements, but I don't like O'Neill. He wasn't [and still isn't] a likeable bloke. Having met him, I can testify he is a likeable bloke, and I can't think of any good reason why we wouldn't welcome him back with open arms. The question would be, does he want to come? He strikes me as someone who is not conventional in his thinking and wouldn't necessarily be solely motivated at this stage of his career by european football and premier league status. If that's the case we have a chance.
unreachable Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 SSN Sven going out for dinner with Lee Hoos and MM tonight to thrash out a deal with Sven to attend match
Trav Le Bleu Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 SSN Sven going out for dinner with Lee Hoos and MM tonight to thrash out a deal with Sven to attend match How romantic (until they get him back to the hotel room )
Legend_in_blue Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Two big names in football. Whoever comes in, if it is either of these two, we may be bottom, we may have a goal difference of -12, but tbh, I'd feel as though we're top of the league. This is quality if we pull this one off.
BoneDog Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 It's a good thing I know you're being sarcastic Yes I suppose there's a chance it might take him five years!
Master Fox Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 I'll be surprised if we don't gone a huge winning streak now. It will show just how much of a Tosser Sousa was. Viva La Sven
Webbo Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Martin O'Neill, it is understood, is not going to make a return as manager for the club. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/oct/01/martin-oneill-sven-goran-eriksson-leicester
dave the caveman Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 For MON to come here would indicate he has given up hope of ever winning any significant trophies, and without that fire, I would question the effectiveness of anyone. If he came back I would jump on the next flight home and stand at the gates, on my knees, with my mouth wide open just incase he fancied a BJ, but that's just because i love him more than I love my mother, not because I think it's a good idea. Sven on the other hand has got this reputation as being some kind of vagabondish charlatan type, but his record speaks for itself. Yes he'd probably rape our bank balance, as well as Top's sister, but rarely has he been ineffective in football management. And at the moment I don't really care who he get in as long as he brings in a bus load of febreze to remove the foul stench eminating from the walkers after that horrendous phaggot sousa's disasterous reign of terror. The other candidates, i fear, would merely add their own repulsive musk into the mixture and the combination would probably end up not cultivating our young talent, but cultivating a new breed of radioactive AIDS capable of destroying any player that comes anywhere near a city shirt. I voted for MON, of course, but I will welcome Sven. He is the kind of guy who will turn up with some industrial strength fans and blow the memory of pussy Paulo all the way to Portugal.
STUHILL Posted 1 October 2010 Author Posted 1 October 2010 MON looks out of the race <_< Bevan told BBC Radio Five Live: "I've spoken to Martin following a significant amount of rumours in the media this morning and Martin will not be returning at this stage to Leicester and he's not in communication with the club. "I don't see Martin going to Leicester City at this stage."
colbo68 Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 I'd prefer MON as I'm sure nearly everyone on here would.. But Sven would still be a great option. for fooks sake!! Sven!!! behave - we need a strict disciplinarian, not a pussy boy!
Zingari Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 for fooks sake!! Sven!!! behave - we need a strict disciplinarian, not a pussy boy! did you go to a public school ? miss whiplash is a bit past it now
fsdss Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 MON wouldn`t return as it would be a great step down for him and if we got him he`d be lined up for every job in the Prem. If we get Swen I think not only would he go a great job but he`d also stick with us. He could have walked out at Notts alot sooner than he did. Either way I`l still in shock!!!
scott_gunnell Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 for fooks sake!! Sven!!! behave - we need a strict disciplinarian, not a pussy boy! Did England look ill disciplinaried? Well, I dont think people seemed to think they where
tetly Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 I am so happy Sosa has gone and we are being linked with proper managers not the normal crap.
Cropwellfox Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Mandaric has been quoted (Guardian i think) as saying there are 3 'experienced' managers on the shortlist. For me I would imagine that being 3 out of SGE, Pardew, Curbishley and Mandy's favourite almost-ran Dowie.
