darko2k7 Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 LEICESTER The Foxes go into this weekend's game with Hull City on the back of two victories, the most recent coming in Saturday's friendly against the Thailand national team at the Supachalasai Stadium. City won the game 2-0, with first half goals from Martyn Waghorn and Paul Gallagher sealing victory. Despite creating numerous chances in the second half, the Foxes could not build on the 2-0 advantage but enjoyed a good run-out against well organised opposition. City's last win in the league came against S****horpe United at the Walkers Stadium on the Saturday before the start of the international break. Martyn Waghorn gave the Foxes the lead early in the first half, drilling a neat finish past Iron goalkeeper Joe Murphy. City doubled their advantage just ten minutes into the second half when Lloyd Dyer cut in from the wing at pace. His initial shot was blocked, but the speedy winger reacted quicker than the S****horpe backline to slot the ball home for the second. S****horpe were handed a lifeline on 60 minutes when Chris Dagnall's shot hit the woodwork and landed at the feet Michael O'Connor, who finished well with Carl Ikeme stranded. The away side applied heavy pressure to try and level the game but the Foxes stood firm and grabbed a third deep into injury time courtesy of Franck Moussa, to complete a 3-1 victory. New Manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson, will be looking for his team to build on both of these victories and gain his first competitive win as Foxes boss. HULL Former Leicester boss, Nigel Pearson, returns to the Walkers Stadium for the first time since leaving the club in the summer with a Hull City side searching for consistency after relegation from the Premier League. Pearson's men remain unbeaten at home but have struggled to pick up points on their travels, suffering a couple of heavy defeats along the way. Hull earned a hard-fought 0-0 with Coventry City at the Kingston Communications Stadium last time out. The Sky Blue's started brightly, but the home side soon took charge of proceedings and felt that they should have had a penalty late in the first half, when Paul McShane was hauled down in the box. Overall, Hull created the better chances but neither side could find the breakthrough and grab that all-important win. Three points for the Tigers could propel them as high as ninth in the npower Championship. Salieri Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Weale Berner Hobbs Davies Naughton Gallagher Oakley King Wellens Howard Waghorn
The Doctor Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 4 defenders and 2 midfielders on the bench? We really are short of strikers - are there not even any youth teamers that can step up to the bench.

jonw88 Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Obviously Sven doesn't rate Crncic at all, we need another striker pronto! Surprised Moussa didn't start, there's no width on the pitch currently..
darko2k7 Posted 16 October 2010 Author Posted 16 October 2010 Listening to RL and it's so good to hear from a leicester coach we can understand at last
Salieri Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Ha ha, Fazackerley giving Stringer a bit of banter!
AaronH Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Gally probably sitting behind the strikers or waggy and gally on the wings
jonw88 Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 We played 442 against Scunny and had Waghorn, Howard and Gally on the pitch so Gally may be on the wing, with Waghorn playing off Howard Edit: Diamond apparently, Wellens at the back, Gally at the front.
