Dylan Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Weale Lamey Morrison Hobbs Berner Gallagher King Abe Dyer Howard Fryatt Subs: Logan, Kennedy, Parkes, Moussa, Wellens, Chamberlain, Vassel/Crncic. Will be a difficult game against a very good, in-form West Brom side. Davies is cup-tied, so i'd bring in Morrison. I'd put Berner back into the side. I think we should go 4-4-2, so I'd put Howard and Fryatt up top, as our only available senior strikers. In midfield, King is obviously our best man, so he should start in CM. I think Abe should be given a chance in his proper position of holding central midfield- meaning King can be more offensive. This would give Oakley and Wellens a rest, as they've been playing a lot recently. If Vassell gains fitness, i'd stick him on the bench. If not I'd put a youngster such as Crncic or Chambers as another striking substitute. I think Chamberlain deserves a sub spot as he scores loads in the academy, and we only really have Fryatt and Howard available as experienced strikers. Forgot Naughton was cup-tied because he played against Arsenal for Spurs, so Lamey would be my choice as he's quicker. As is Waghorn. *This is assuming Gallagher isn't injured anymore. If he is, i'd bring Moussa on, and Oakley to the bench.
Father Ted Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Weale Neilson - Morrison - Hobbs - BernerMoussa - King - Wellens - DyerFryatt - Howard Subs: Logan, Parkes, Lamey, Kennedy, Vassell, Abe, Schlupp. * Providing Gallagher, N'Guessan are still injured. EDIT: Waghorn cup-tied.

Dylan Posted 23 October 2010 Author Posted 23 October 2010 Can see Sven playing a 4-5-1 with Howard alone up front, cause of our lack of striking options for this match with Waghorn cuptied, and Gallagher possibly injured. We should still go with 4-4-2 though imo Believe in our youngsters- give them a chance.

talkfoxes.com Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 On Vassell I think he needs at least a couple of weeks with the reserves before stepping into the first team as fitness is a big problem at the club as it is.
