The Doctor Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 pointless. Slow, big wages, probably can still put in a good delievery but setpieces aren't everything and we aren't scoring from them due to shit deliveries, we just seem incapable of attacking them with any conviction so he wouldn't help there. He'd only provide publicity to us and we'd not really provide anything to him so why would he want to come and would the money not be better spent improving the squad on a fairly long term basis?
Filbert_Ross Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Its not going to happen, he said after he left Manchester United in the summer of 2003, that he would never play for another English team again, he may come and train with the first team like he did Arsenal, but he won't sign a contract loan or permanent with another english club, he'd see it as betraying his beloved Manchester United. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard-sport/football/article-23719153-david-beckham-would-consider-coming-home.do things change.
Bert Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Why would he be ending his career here? He's said he wants to play til he's 40, good few years left in him yet. More than likely won't be coming here though.
MC Prussian Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 "My heart was in Manchester - and I couldn't see myself wearing another shirt in the Premiership and playing against United. Now I wouldn't rule it out." Doesn't say anything about not wearing a Championship team's shirt, though.
Solihullfox Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Article is from 2009, not really relevant to how he might be feeling now.
