Becks to Leicester?

What's he done?

All he did was follow up a rumour and then confirmed to all the mindless ****** that it won't actually happen.

He helped spread the rumour further by hinting that he knew a little more than he was letting on like he always does. It probably makes him feel superior.

I don't know how anyone can take Stringers twitter posts seriously though. All he does is take rumours and agitate people within the club by asking them about it. Just let the transfer happen / not happen naturally!

The BBC got it from the People and the People got it from their usual source (football rumours), which in turn got it from my thread on here and I got it from bloody twitter.

Unbelievable how rumours circulate and come back again, also unbelievable is how people fail to see that and fall for it.

From Stringers Twitter:

Didn't think I'd ever speak to 1of David Beckham's 'people' but just did, news is, story dead. Flattered at interest but isn't gonna happen!

its getting alot of attention. it was on EMT which shows its a pretty strong rumour. But ill leave it as a rumour! sven would have to be the ultimate negotiator if he could pull this one off. NEXT ON SVENS LIST = LIONEL MESSI

Not sure how anyone can say this is a bad move? Will bring a lot of money into the club via Shirt sales etc and on the pitch, he will put in the performances. We desperately need a good set piece specialist. He might not be able to run down the wing but he doesn't need to seeing as he's so good crossing from deep etc.

DO IT!!!

I could have a world class looking name on the back of my shirt without having to add letters on

The only way I could see this happening is if he guested for us on a post/pre season trip to Thailand.

Today's Merc

Eriksson said he could call Beckham whenever he liked but had not done so because he already knew what the answer would be if he asked him to play in the Championship.

"There is nothing in that story," he said. "If David wants to come here and play football, yes, he is more than welcome, but I doubt that he wants to play in the Championship.

"I have not spoken to him but I can easily do that, but I know the answer before. No, I am not trying to bring him in. That story should be killed because it won't happen."

I would imagine that there wern't all that many Notts County supporters who thought that they would sign Casper Schmicel and Sol Campbell..........

"Victoria, who has carved out a niche for herself Stateside as a fashion designer and might be reluctant to up sticks to Leicester, though the city's Highcross shopping centre (which boasts more 125 stores and 3000 car parking spaces) could provide her with some inspiration"

SVEN KEEN ON BECKHAM MOVE

Beckham - welcome at Leicester.

Sven-Goran Eriksson has opened the door for David Beckham at Leicester City, but doubts he would join a Championship club.

The Swede knows the LA Galaxy midfielder well having worked with the experienced star during his five years in charge of England.

Twice Beckham has joined AC Milan on loan during MLS' close season and it has been rumoured he could be on the move again in the New Year.

The Foxes have recently been taken over by Thai-based consortium Asia Football Investments and the ambitious club have been mooted as a possible destination for the 35-year-old.

While Eriksson is an admirer of the former Real Madrid and Manchester United ace, he does not believe Beckham would join Leicester due to their Championship status.

"I haven't spoken to David for a long time," said Eriksson in The Guardian.

"But I doubt that he is going to go on loan because last year there was a lot of criticism from fans and things like that.

"I guess the fans don't want him to go, but if David wants to come here, the door is always open.

"I should be extremely surprised if he wants to come to the Championship.

"I could phone his agent, but I know the answer. I think David could go to any club he wants."
