Trav Le Bleu Posted 25 September 2011 Author Posted 25 September 2011 Sorry - what with football, F1 and a stinky cold I didn't make it. Notty is very good though - if a little prone to playing lots of euro-industrial-rock. Well, he is Swedish - I think it's the long dark winters.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 2 October 2011 Author Posted 2 October 2011 I have a treat for any City fans listening tonight - I'll play it at around 7pm. I'll be DJ EJ on www.roguesradio.com from 6-8pm tonight.
Webbo Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 I thought we were going to get 'this is the season for city'. Good show Trav.
pSinatra Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 that's great. Frank Worthington................brilliant!!!
BoneDog Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 OH PISS AND CHIPS ON A TRAY! Missed the request week and this weeks show which I had made a mind note to listen to. Some cracker shit came up yo. I been catching 45 minutes here and there though and had a few things to comment on from past shows but I've gone and forgot them all now!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 7 October 2011 Author Posted 7 October 2011 Thanks to DavieG and his other half, anyone tuning will get a real treat this weekend. :scarf: :scarf:
Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 October 2011 Author Posted 9 October 2011 Right - on at 6 as usual - with a treat for City fans at 7 (thinking of making 7-7.30 my FT specialist area.) Lined up tonight... Hot Chip, Fleetwood Mac, Radiohead, Midlake, Feist, Beloved, Amplifier, Jimi Hendrix, Two Door Cinema Club and Mrs DG... to name a few.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 October 2011 Author Posted 9 October 2011 For those of you who forget... am on right now. www.roguesradio.com or click the link in my sig
BoneDog Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Ooh I did like that Cranes song. What a lovely voice! Never heard of them before. What was the name of the song just before Cranes? Revolver or something like that.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 October 2011 Author Posted 9 October 2011 The track before Cranes was Sweet Harmony by Beloved Want to request anything?
BoneDog Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 I knew it had a v in it. I canna think of any requests at the mo, I can't even remember my favourite tunes! I do like Malvina Reynolds - I Don't Mind Failing. Heard of her for the first time the other day and quite like some of her songs. Or Lexxus - Owna Home Yes I think you're right that some people will be happy to hear you don't have those two - especially Lexxus. One listener would have loved it though! 8-10pm next week. Does this mean that you can play songs with the word 'piss' in them?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 16 October 2011 Author Posted 16 October 2011 On from 6-9 tonight and hoping to raise a few smiles after today's debacle! No mention of football!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 16 October 2011 Author Posted 16 October 2011 Due to technical problems I'm not on
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 October 2011 Author Posted 24 October 2011 As a heads up for this weekend I will be doing a two hour long show with a Neil Young theme. Let's face it, the guy is a genius. So from Buffalo Springfield to the present day and a few good cover versions of Young songs to add a little variety. I hope I can do him justice.
BoneDog Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Yesterday was the first time in a while I was tuned in ready to listen before the show starts and it turns out you were on blummin holiday. Typical - I'd been rushing around and everyding to get sat down in time!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 October 2011 Author Posted 29 October 2011 Neil Young will be happening tomorrow. If you like the guy who gave us grunge (essentially), then tune in from 6-8 (don't forget to put your clocks back!) on www.roguesradio.com
BoneDog Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Not sure if I like Neil Young. It's either him, Bob Dylan or some other similar guy who is loved worldwide that I just cannae get into! I'll have to check out a few tracks of his later to find out, can't remember any off the top of my head.
Webbo Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I like Heart of Gold (save that 1 for the last half hour Trav )but I can't say I'm that keen on the rest of his songs. James Taylor on the other hand.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 30 October 2011 Author Posted 30 October 2011 I like Heart of Gold (save that 1 for the last half hour Trav )but I can't say I'm that keen on the rest of his songs. James Taylor on the other hand. I'll be playing a cover version of it - you'll have to listen in to find out who, so I'll leave it till the end.
BoneDog Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I checked a few Neil Young songs last night and it can't be him I was on about because I didn't recognize any apart from one with "Hurricane" in the title and "Free World". I noticed that he has released over 40 albums
Webbo Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I'll be playing a cover version of it - you'll have to listen in to find out who, so I'll leave it till the end. Just tuned in in time.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 30 October 2011 Author Posted 30 October 2011 Just tuned in in time. Hurrah! I was a couple of minutes earlier than I planned - not been talking enough nonsense, obviously!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 4 November 2011 Author Posted 4 November 2011 You had the White album. Many years later there was the Black album* Prepare yourself for the Black DJ EJ Show - this Sunday 6-8pm *I am aware that officially these albums were actually eponymously titled, but that spoils the ambience - just go with it!
