Zingari Posted 19 September 2011 Posted 19 September 2011 Just another thought Trav , how about instead of a whole program in one week dedicated to FT requests ,would it be worth breaking it up into smaller segments ( say 15 to 20 mins) of your usual show . i ask this because although i listen in most weeks it is usually only for around 30 or 40 minutes as usually something else is going on and i'm in and out of the house etc and i suspect there are many others in this situation. if there was a regular spot reserved for us at a regular time ( say for a period of 4 or 5 weeks ) i think it might become more of a talking point among posters and we could perhaps add a little bit about our choices , ( what the song means to us , what memories etc etc ) in the same way you were talking about "cathy's clown" and your mum on the last show . it sort of gives a more personal touch to the show . but i understand if you would prefer the one off situation

Thanks Trav , "little acorns" and all that you never know What do you think about adding the personal angle to the requests ? Personally I'd love to know what makes AOWW kick off her shoes and dance around her handbag , or what song makes Webbo stick his thumbs in his bib n brace overalls and start doing a Pogo dance or what makes you post the mail in a pirouette, and you never know , even Dangerous Tiger may be inclined to let us in on what music soothes the savage beast . Anyway , it's just an idea for you to kick about the forum ,and I don't see any problem if you started a thread in general chat for some other ideas , I really believe there are some very bright people on this forum ( actually quite a lot ) who would be all too willing to get involved .
