Nights out in Germany

Going on a football trip in Feburary, 6 lads, just wondering if anyone has any reccomendations on cities for nights out in Deutschland, Clubs, how they welcome English etc.

Looking at Dortmund, Monchengladback and Cologne also one night in Belgium, Brugges possibly..

i went to Hamburg on a stag do.Fantastic.Loads of clubs,no hint of trouble and home to the reeperbahn(red light district) good strip clubs.it would have been rude not to go in.Careful of the cheap ones,went in women was about 50.Got a laugh when i said "fook me its Jimmy Saville" her under carriage was on the floor!

Went Berlin 3 times in 3 months recently and Munich you are doing something very very wrong if you can't have a good night in out Germany. We even walked in to a packed nightclub in Berlin with a beer bong and no one cared

Berlin is an awesome city, very vibrant, international, plethora of great nightclubs, bars, pubs, restaurants and - cheap.

Public transportation within the place is easy, affordable and cool - S-Bahn driving at night, overlooking parts of the city on some stretches, how hip is that.

My personal favourite.

Munich's a bit more expensive, and boasts a rather posh nightlife. It's all about the white sausage, pretzels and Weizen, though ((don't) try getting there for Oktoberfest, it's crazy).

Freiburg's known for its student population and the laid-back attitude, lovely scenery with the canals and all that.

Never been to Cologne myself, but from what I know, it's got the single-highest concentration of restaurants of all German cities.

In Berlin if you want to stay at Backpackers i stayed at 2 good ones. Wombats and plus hostel the bonus of plus is it is really close to Matrix Nightclub which is quality.....Both Hostels are cheap and clean the bar at Wombats is a little better tho and has the best Kebab shop outside of Greece next door, which is open 24 hours

I went clubbing in Berlin earlier this year. Impeccable techno scene there, you'll struggle to get in as a group of lads so if you can team up with some birds and act like you know what you're doing then you might get in. I know you don't mention Berlin but if you get a chance you should definitely go. Some of the clubs open on a Friday night and don't close until the following Tuesday.

As for Hamburg if you want whores in ski jackets littering the streets and enough brothels and strip clubs to make Amsterdam look like playschool then yeah you'll love it. Head for the Reeperbahn.

Live and work in Munich, great beer and a good time to be had though i cant honestly say its a "banging" city for nightlife, some pretty decent clubs to be visited...thats if you can get in though....if you don't have any girls with you or your speaking english too loudly and too drunk the bouncers can be stunning ****s.
