bjblyth Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Probably because they're still trying to shift the 1,000 'limited edition' replicas, so it's a good advert to help them sell.
Jimmy Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 because why have it otherwise? no-one wears Blue & Yellow combined plus as others have said its a nicer kit anyway
Kent Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 The thing that annoys me about that kit is the blue strip. It's the wrong blue for a start and the diagonal stripe is a bit naff to be honest. If it was a blue V or something like the Man Utd kit had then it could be good.
ajthefox Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 because why have it otherwise? no-one wears Blue & Yellow combined plus as others have said its a nicer kit anyway ermmm MONEY? I doubt the club kept the black one just for the sake of having a third kit. That's the only reason we have it because as you said, no-one wears blue and yellow.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the blue on the version of this kit that is being re-made was that colour, not the blue we wear now, so it's not wrong.

Our first kit in 1884-1886 was the same as we have now. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Leicester_City/Leicester_City.htm
Zingari Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 they might think they are playing against norwich and up their game if we play in yellow

Correct, It was our very first colours as Leicester Fosse. So having a kit with a light blue and a diagonal stripe is very significant. Historical Kits Personally I like it, one of the best kits.
Fosse Boy Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 The black kit is better than the yellow one. This.

Dan Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 We've only collected one point in that yellow kit. It's fvcking cursed.
Tommeh Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 It's to blend in with the jackets which should be worn in the away end.
Karljohn Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Its shop window time for the Black strip....live on TV and Xmas! What a combo....997 left.....like gold dust!
bjblyth Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 your computer's got problems if thats how long it take you to double post.. Ha I posted from my iPhone both times and the first time, I went out of a signal area so when I next looked at my phone I didn't think it had posted! Was hoping no one would spot it
Blue Bob Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 They are wearing black so they can see each other when it starts snowing!
The Doctor Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 They are wearing black so they can see each other when it starts snowing! as it turned out that didn't help, probably would have been easier to see each other wearing the yellow one.
Ricey Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Our black kit really is proving to be a good luck charm isn't it? Tonight and before that Cardiff in May.
orangecity23 Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Our black kit really is proving to be a good luck charm isn't it? Tonight and before that Cardiff in May. We won plenty of away games in it last season. By the same token you could say the same thing about our yellow or blue kits, as we've lost in them too.
Dan Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 It's to blend in with the jackets which should be worn in the away end. Become a fan of this of late. Millwall away should be an absolute fvcking black ocean. Our black kit really is proving to be a good luck charm isn't it? Tonight and before that Cardiff in May. Let's never EVER play in it again then. Jesus.
