Whether you're frustrated with the Max Gradel love-in that some Leicester fans have with him or not, we made a dirty mistake in selling him for £250k. A goal every 2.2 games from midfield at this level for £250,000 is one of the biggest bargains in the past few seasons. pearson dropped a bollock, a massive swollen one. Simple as. Because that form was obvious from his two seasons where he produced a decent 10 minutes against Peterborough and a free kick at MK. He'd shown no indication he could perform consistently at this level while he was here.

RowlattsFox Posted 23 December 2010 Posted 23 December 2010 Gradel had a chance while he was here, made lots of appearances during the league 1 season and was more often poor then good. Whether that was down to poor management or whatever it doesn't matter, we managed to do alright without hiim last season. I do think he'd fare better for us in our current system but oh well, he's not our player anymore and fair play to him he's doing well at Leeds. I think we use the fact that he's not the best tracking back to our advantage with Naughton and Cunningham. and if he does track back then that will stop him causing trouble at our end.

Left mid we're sweet for goals too so chill out fellas Good point - I'd not thought about it that way because the one thing our midfield is crying out for is a lightweight midfield player who can be easily shunted off the ball and is soft in the tackle. Tack on his inability to cross a decent ball or take a half-credible corner and I can now see how he'd be integral in the current set-up.

Yeh but it's not even a debate for me. He didn't get a real chance here as Pearson didn't think he was ready, and Gradel wasn't prepared to wait so he moved to Leeds and is now playing better as he is getting more game time. That's it. What is there to talk about? We can't change anything and we should be looking at the now and the future, not the past.

Really gutted we let him go, but glad to see he's gone on to bigger and better things. I hope he makes the big leagues, cause he's definitely good enough. The thing I love most about a football player is the personality, and Maxi had that in abundance - which is why he was my favourite. I'd rather have ego's and personalities on the pitch than eleven steel simon's who fit a formation and do the job but don't really show any emotion.
