Guest BlueBrett Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 It seems optimism is waning and I thought it would be interesting to decipher whether this was just disappointment following the defeat today or if people have actually written the season off already. It seems the doom-mongers outweigh the optimists in most threads.but maybe that is just because whingers like to whinge whereas us glass half full types tend to keep our confidence quiet. This should give us a more accurate impression of fan morale. Personally I still think we will make the play-offs.
themotivator Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 i have voted top half, but there are 4 playoff spaces in the top half of the table.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Yes i have written this season off - i hope Leicester prove me wrong and i will gladly eat my words - but i cant honestly see anything more than mid-table, probably low mid at that
LCFC_ED Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 few minor changes tactically and we will be challenging for play offs in no time.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 considering the tight nature of the league, i would say play offs are still in with a shout. not getting my hopes up though!
Dylan Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 We can't afford any more bad runs if we're to make the playoffs, our run must start NOW. Two wins from our next 2 are needed otherwise we're gonna give ourselves too much to do.
MattyFromLE Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Can we NOW stop being so fooking pessemistic? Lets moan about our position in May.
Bausor Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 we need to beat hull and swansea to stand a chance of playoffs, sven has transfer targets lined up hopefully a solid cb and a leathal striker, we will have a new permant striker better than what we have in jan so 6 points needed and lets push on, p.s a pacey skillfull winger with a good cross to please sven
Kitchandro Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 I've got a very simple answer to this - If we play like we are doing now for the rest of the season, then no we won't make it. If we improve (depending on the players we bring in) then we've got every chance. My point is we've certainly still got enough time and we aren't that far adrift
ScouseFox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Between about 12th and 18th. Simply not good enough, despite numerous "quality" loan signings, so even with the transfer window we'll need a miracle to get near the play offs.
Cropwellfox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 WIth god knows how many more loan players, and other signings to make our new owners happy to come in between now and the end of the season we'll continue to be inconsistent, the odd majestic 45 minutes amongst a number of pathetic capitualtions, and defenders looking at each other as if they don't know who is supposed to do what. we'll continue to bumble along between 13th and 19th. oh, and we'll score from a corner the week before Easter, although it will be ruled out for a push. Meanwhile, Gradel, DJ and also Fryatt will bag regularly becuase that's just the pisser that football is.
themotivator Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 am i the only one annoyed that these voting options aren't listed in order?
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 I've been optimistic after every loss up until today. Are away form is no blip, it just shyte. Davies is crap, overrated and thinks he's something special. Vitor isn't much better also overrated by our fans. Hobbs isn't a patch on what he was under Pearson. We're carrying players like Bednar & Fryatt. Basically I just don't think were as good as I thought earlier in the season. Unless we sack off some of these under performing players and bring in some fighters in January we're gonna be towards the lower reaches.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 We cant make the PO's. The defence isnt good enough, even more so away from home. People say the problem is scoring goals, but we have scored more than what we did this time last year. The defence record is totally different, we have the worst defence in the league which is the big problem.

Somehow in your eyes, it's Fryatt's fault we're shit even though he's played half an hour in the last month? He's on his way out, you got what you wanted, now shut the **** up. But the rest of it is spot on.
Callabinho Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 lower half of the table, i don't think we will win away again this season.

Pst Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 I'll wait until the end of January before voting. I don't think you can write this season off fully, yet.
Salieri Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 I predict Sven will carry out some good business in January, we will improve and a top half finish beckons. Sadly I feel the Play Offs may be out of our grasp, we've been so inconsistent and thanks to our start under Sousa, we've left ourselves with a bit too much to do. On the plus side, if Sven is with us next season and the Thais continue to back him then promotion will be ours next season.
Kitchandro Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 I'll wait until the end of January before voting. I don't think you can write this season off fully, yet. Me too. January is make or break for us

Along with Fryatt i'd also like to see us get rid of the likes of Neilson, Moreno & Lamey if possible.
Lisburn Fox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Let see what SGE does in January and hope he can start to build for next season, am not going to look at this season as a viable promotion push. I do think providing the backing is done properly and does not lead us unto administration, we can be a top 2 team next season.
