Uncle Phil Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 At least 35 dead. R.I.P http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-12268662
Maybes Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Horrific for the innocent victims and their families..RIP.
Jackirius Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Anybody taken responsibility for it yet? RIP, it is a shame that in this day an age a Suicide bomber strapped with explosives can still enter an airport.
Wymsey Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Just over a week before my Mum arrives at that airport for a cruise . RIP and fingers crossed that the casualty's health will improve
Fox92 Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 On a different note... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/article-1350146/RAF-jets-escort-Etihad-airbus-Stansted-passenger-makes-threats.html?ito=feeds-newsxml "An aeroplane was today escorted into Heathrow Airport by RAF fighter jets after a man on board the flight from Abu Dhabi claimed he had a bomb". I know this wasn't a terrorist but the World of terrorists is horrific. Everytime I go on a plane, enter an airport, or visit a major city etc, I can't help thinking about an attack. Don't live in fear though! I've said for ages that we're going to get it one day (worser than 2005 which was bad anyway). A famous landmark such as Big Ben etc. Look at September 11th, I still can't belive it happened everytime I see something about it. RIP to those that were caught up in yet another horrific attack.
Jordan Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 This horrible attack--especially coming on the heels of the suicide bombings in Moscow last year--is surely going to push the Kremlin over the edge. I can see major reprisals in the Caucasus if this attack is traced to separatists in Dagestan or Chechnya. War is everywhere--it's sickening.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 Was there suicide bombings in Moscow last year? I went there last year and had no idea. Moscow is a brilliant city but with stuff like this going on who will ever want to go there, or is that what they want.

z-layrex Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 So fu**ing tired of this. FIFA apparently. Horrible story this, can't understand why people do it Jihad I suppose.
Unit Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 So fu**ing tired of this. Jihad I suppose. I thought it was russian seperatists?
Head Honcho Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 I thought it was russian seperatists? The populations of most of these states are 95% muslim so one and the same aren't they? I guess the line between seperatists and jihadists is pretty musrky nowadays anyway.
Zingari Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 good article here , with some "british" connections ( hopefully they are just tenuous connections ) http://rt.com/politics/russia-terrorism-berezovsky-airport/
BoneDog Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 This horrible attack--especially coming on the heels of the suicide bombings in Moscow last year--is surely going to push the Kremlin over the edge. I can see major reprisals in the Caucasus if this attack is traced to separatists in Dagestan or Chechnya. War is everywhere--it's sickening. Not sure how many more reprisals can be unleashed on Chechnya to be fair. The powers that be in Moscow flattened much of that country years ago and have continued to operate there ever since. Even the ruler of Chechnya works for Moscow. Most likely this terrible and tragic event was done by rogue FSB (along with other 'unspeakables') just like the Moscow appartment bombings that Litvinenko was telling the world about before he was murdered.
