ramadaone Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 Was at the game last night and thought our support in the first half was absolute top class with the noise levels being at full throttle. However, in the second half as the team started struggle we let the levels drop a bit and I'm sure this gets through to the lads on the pitch. As usual some lads sing their hearts out for the full 90 mins whereas people like myself get involved in the game, get edgy, start shouting crap like "get stuck in" " shift your arse yak" etc etc This is easily done but when you look back it doesn't help the lads on the pitch 1 little bit and I'd be better off supporting the lads that are singing so the players know we are right behind them. Towards the end we lifted the volume again and we almost scored right at the death ( that really would have been taking the piss if we had won 2 nil !! ) Rest assured at Derby I won't make the same mistake so lets use the Sheffield 1st half as our bench mark.
Fosse Boy Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 So basically you're telling yourself to sing up more when we're not looking so hot on the pitch?
1964FOX Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 Unfortunately I believe there will be a lot of people at Derby who choose to be less vocal when they attend away matches as it is close by and a match they pick in order to maintain their priority status. It is of course their choice but just to warn you the atmosphere may not be electric as the singers are likely to be split up. However I applause your thoughts and will be there singing along with you.
