hackneyfox Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 Bamba and Mee shouldn't be dropped after the last game. Bruma supposedly coming in next week. Vitor fit again the following week. Tunchev hopefully on the mend and back before the end of the season. I don't see how Hobbs is going to get a game.

Mee, Vitor and Bruma aren't guaranteed to be here next season, the tunch is out of contract at the end of this season - maybe not this season but Hobbs will probably be involved in next season and depending on injuries he may yet get another chance this season - Vitor seems to be prone to injury and we have no idea how much damage the tunch has suffered in the past couple of years.
hackneyfox Posted 4 February 2011 Author Posted 4 February 2011 Oops, I meant this season. I think he should go on loan with a 24hour recall.
Corky Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 There could well be a loss of form soon or an injury- I think Hobbs will play again this season.
AaronH Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 If we get bruma and vitor geys fit maybe send him out on loan for a month get his confidence back
Guest BlueBrett Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 I'd be amazed if he didn't play again this season
hackneyfox Posted 4 February 2011 Author Posted 4 February 2011 We have 3 players currently more deserving of a place in Sol, Vitor & Mee, then there is Bruma to come who sounds as if he should walk straight into the team. Sven said that had Bruma come in on time someone would have left on loan, there is no real cover at left back should Berner go, so it's Hobbs for me. He needs to be playing first team football.
Scow Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 I think there are two main factors behind Hobbs' demise this season: 1) No Wayne Brown alongside him. 2) Playing higher up the pitch when he doesn't have the pace to play this way. Like Fryatt, he would be another player who could thrive at Hull under Pearson's management (sit deep, stay compact, play more direct).
themotivator Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 pretty sure hobbs has accepted that he has been sub parr at times this season and is willing to fight for his place. he is a professional who knows how these things work. don't think he will be wanting to move on just yet at least until he has had a good shot at proving he deserves a starting place over the new signings. look forward to seeing him in action and hopefully developing into a very very good CB at leicester.

Kamil Zayette has gone to a Turkish club so Hobbs could end up on loan at Hull.
dannythefox Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 I think he'll play again hes good enough. But if he get his nose pushed he will probably end up at hull he'd play every game there. As for tunch i'll be shocked if he wears a leicester shirt again i think he'll leave when his contract runs out.
cc_star Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 Sven says Hobbs has a future If Bruma does come & Vitor returns to fitness I wouldn't be surprised to see Hobbs going out on loan, but again because of the competitiveness of the division (like the Waggy situation) we have so many rivals, picking one who won't be pushing us for a playoff place will be difficult. I wouldn't be surprised if Pearson at Hull or Brown at Preston came in for him, however those two managers wouldn't really aid Hobbs in the areas he needs to work on for our current style of football. I like the lad, got great memories of some great performances and wish him well wherever he goes, hopefully he can pick up on his current development areas and he can contribute to our future, but if not he'll do a good job somewhere else, of that I have no doubt. Although there is only Hobbs & Bamba that are ours, with Vitor, Mee, Bruma (if he comes) along with Naughton & Van Aanholt all somebody else players to do what they want with
hackneyfox Posted 4 February 2011 Author Posted 4 February 2011 It may well suit us to loan Hobbs to a playoff contender, look at what Morrison has doe to The Wendies.
Fox You Forest Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 Preston is one of the last places I'd want to send him ( if their is a loan in the pipeline ) with his confidence being on the fragile side already, that's all he needs losing almost every week.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 4 February 2011 Posted 4 February 2011 Hobbs will be back in the side at some point but footnote of caution is that if we get promoted i think he will be sold (stating the obvious i know!!!)
Haydos Posted 5 February 2011 Posted 5 February 2011 I really don't want Bruma coming in. Hobbs is more than capable with the right management. He needs direction and some real football coaching and under Sven he has that. If it's decided that he should be back up for a while then so be it, he still has the ability to challenge for a first team spot and with some experienced coaching he can learn a lot.
