I agree with the OP, but I'd still prefer to see Weale between the sticks on Saturday.

EDIT: Having said that I don't think the defence have lost confidence i Ricardo for any other reason than the moronic chanting. It's City fans who have created the lack of confidence in Ricardo. It's a shame that we have such a young defence - a more experienced back line would have formed their own opinions.

Look back on the goals we've conceded sice Ricardos been in goal, not ONE has been because of him not organising his defence properly.

Bristol City - PVA deflected the ball from what would have been a comfortable save!

Cardiff - Bamba and Bruma letting their man go

Cov - PVA diving in on the touchline. Ricardo should of done better with the goal.

QPR - Bamba and Bruma going to sleep leaving Miller with a One v One

Norwich - Yakubu losing his man free header, stupid challenge from Ben Mee, Bamba losing the plot and deflection the off Ben Mee.

Booyaaa!!! They're the hard facts there. Also Ricardo gained more international caps for Portugal than Gordon Banks did for England. As much as i like Weale he ain't ever or ever going to come close to that.

And as for Sven voted the 2nds best England manager since Alf Ramsey (Although i'd have gone for Bobby Rob).

See I am no Ricardo fan but even I can see those goals were not his fault last night. However there was a whole lot of unnecessaery flapping and risk taking with regards to trying to randomly dummy and skill the Norwich strikers.

However the point I want to ask the "weale" chanters is as follows - If Weale were to come back into the squad on Saturday and he let in an absolute howler and generally did shit, would you still want Weale for the next match or would you call for Ricardo?

I cant help but wonder whether people only dislike Ricardo for the way he came in and took the place of an "inform" weale. Its like people re-sent him for that rather than his on the pitch ability because bar the flapping and the cov goal, he hasnt done that much wrong...

I really feel sorry for him, whatever he does he can't win. Some aspects of his game are better than weales, but the fans should really keep their opinions to themselves during the game.

Well if Ricardo wasnt signed you'd all be complaining right now about how poor Conrad Logan is. Weale is quality not premiership quality but a solid championship keeper. But if you expect him to play 50 games in top form a year plus not get hurt your crazy.
