Charnwood Norris Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 Apparently, according to Ian Stringer's BBC commentary, Lloyd Dyer can bench press 140kg+ (308lbs+). That's pretty impressive for a 5'8, 10-stone guy.
dave the caveman Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 Professional sports player in being quite strong suprise. In other shock news, some mathematicians are confirmed as being good with numbers.
I am Rod Hull Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 I once watched one whole episode of "my big fat gypsy wedding" without vomiting blood, but i dont go on about it.
muzzy1981 Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 Yes pointless fact... But have to say very impressive, if Lloyd can do 140kg then, Ade Akinbiyi must have been able to bench press a tank!
Bausor Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 i very much doubt it thats alot of weight i know stringer said it but must have got his sums mixed up
nothin2seehere Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 I once watched one whole episode of "my big fat gypsy wedding" without vomiting blood, but i dont go on about it. Your mistake was watching that pile of dross in the first place. I'll sell you back an hour of your time at a very reasonable price.
Fox92 Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 I'm pretty sure that I once heard Stringer or Birch say that Dyer was the strongest player at the club.
Simo86 Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 I'm pretty sure that I once heard Stringer or Birch say that Dyer was the strongest player at the club. Stringer said that Dyer was 'superhuman' when he did that thing to do with medicals
Haydos Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 Sol Bamba can bench Dyer in one hand and Yakubu in the other. /thread
lcfcadam Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 Ricky Sappleton once had to bench-press the Sun in order to save the Earth.

Kent Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 Can't see it myself looking at his figure. Having said that its supposedly easier for shorter guys because they have less reach.

One Arm Babba Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 140kg x 1rep i'd imagine. thats not that much really. I do 120kg x 6reps and could probably do 140kg too. I can't run as fast as him and I can't play football either.... but I can drink like a fish and smoke all I want. every cloud n all that.
Guest Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 Lloyd Dyer > Chuck Norris Or at least that's what I heard

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 i only go to the gym 2-4 times a week and i regularly bench press 110kg - 40-50 reps, i have benched 130kg in the past but havent really tested myself recently, 110kg being easy for me, dont know what this has to do with owt but im thinking Lloyd Dyer is a Professional sportsman and has all day every day to be as fit as possible so . . . . . . . . ?
Houdini Logic Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 To be fair, I remember nearly having a heart attack at Cheltenham seeing Dyer with his top off
BrummieFOX Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 To be fair, I remember nearly having a heart attack at Cheltenham seeing Dyer with his top off That was a bloody GREAT away day!! With Lloyd's muscles adding to the day. I remember half time, people sunbathing on the pitchside . Ahhh League 1. Also one of the very few times, "Right side, Left side" chant was genuinely funny and worked as we had two separate stands and were strolling 4-0.
