And on Wednesday i am of to spain for two weeks look at conserving wetlands. When i get back from that i will have a week before the footietour, so i have limited time access to post. Duo set to travel to 158 grounds in a week for charity On the 11 June 2005 Ian Saberton and Ian Preston are going to attempt to travel to 158 football grounds in the space of one week. They are making the trek to support their charities, STRIPES (the Stafford Rangers Independent Supporters Trust, which raises funds to assist the survival of Conference North club Stafford Rangers, Mind a charity that works to provide a better life for everyone with experience of mental distress and Macmillan Cancer Relief. They hope that through charitable donations they will be able to provide a significant donation to all three causes. Starting at the Stafford Rangers' Marston Road ground on the 11th the tour will visit all 92 Premiership and Coca-Cola Football League grounds plus all of the Nationwide Conference grounds in addition to all of the grounds that make up the Conference's two feeder leagues (Conference North and South). The pair are scheduled to arrive at Valley Parade on Friday 17 June having already covered 2449 miles of the grueling tour. Source
