We're not going to get that much money

I say we sell the whole squad and bring in 25 players aged between 16 and 18, that are in excellent form and have the potential to become champions league standard.

This is LCFC, not Barcelona, Arsenal, etc

But unless we do what I suggested in my previous post, we will never get to the same level as the clubs you've mentioned

This being the case, it's a good job Sven hasn't gone and blown all the budget already. PLeased he took a longer term financial view utilising the loan market as oppose to blowing it all in Jan as some fans would have prefered. Much rather have money for pre-season perm deals.

Do you have any proven evidence of this?:dunno:

I doubt there is one post in this thread with any fact in. Apart from this one obviously which is factual about the lack of fact. :)

Just want to say that Kyle naughton was not sold for 7 million. Its likely it was a deal worth 10 million including Kyle walker. That's also a 'rising to' deal so is likely a lot less. As with most youngsters.

Tottenham launch £11m bid for Sheffield United duo Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp could be on the verge of hijacking Everton's supposed signing of Kyle Naughton by offering Sheffield United £11 million for the right-back and teammate Kyle Walker.

Change of heart: Kyle Naughton now looks bound for Tottenham having originally agreed to go to Everton Photo: GETTY IMAGESBy Telegraph staff 9:48AM BST 14 Jul 2009

A deal for Naughton to move to Goodison Park this summer is thought to have been agreed last week, but United are now reported to have backed out in favour of Tottenham's offer which would see Naughton leave immediately and Walker loaned back to them for the 2009/10 season.

According to the Mirror, Everton had been assured that Naughton would travel to Merseyside to undergo a medical when he returned from United's trip to Malta. But instead the 20-year-old and Walker, 19, went straight to London to discuss personal terms with Redknapp.

Tottenham's decision to leave Walker in the Championship for one more season is no doubt a move that will appeal to all parties. United manager Kevin Blackwell had been apprehensive about losing two right-backs this summer and now has 12 months to find a replacement - not to mention that the club will receive the estimated £4m set aside for Walker in advance

I would trust the telegraphs estimation far more than i would a tabloid ....

except the owners have come out and said, in January they've already overspent the budget for the year by the tune of 20%, what that means for next years budget isn't known, but unless they have money trees in Thailand, it doesn't sound great

what a pointless thread,

1 : westwood will go prem

2 : naughton will stay spurs or go qpr or another prem team

3 : graham will go prem.

4 : we aint got 10 million

5 : if we dont go up this yr we might struggle in finances and might not even get a gr8 loanee system going.

On the brightside Sven is a great businessman with money so if im wrong then good.

What?

Great at spending it?

Great at eroding nearly £12m from an initial investment for the season of only £10m? and we've hardly a single player to show for it as they've cost that much just to borrow them for the season.

He's a great businessman as far as lining his own pockets are concerned - For details see his 'being papped having dinner with Chelsea's top people whilst re-negotiating his England deal' or talking to the Sheiks

He's a chequebook manager, who's success has been bought not built, he's not a wheeler dealer or a great businessman except as far as his own deals are concerned.

On the plus side he showed amazing humility to Notts County and I believe he'll similarly do the right thing for us, whilst working his socks off to get us up & keep us there, so ummm go Sven! sge.png

But they never came out and said SVEN has spent 12 million did they.. That 10 million budget could (and most likely) be covering every thing..

Also do you really think its so easy to buy success ? Why haven't loads more done it ?

Where did this £10 million being speculated come from? I can't recall the owners saying we have £10 million to spend.

Never said they were facts so read the the post properly before you start trying to pick an argument.

It's all speculation but that's what was reported. No hard facts were reported.
