Problem with that though is that several lower Premiership clubs will probably be after him and we'd then have to compete on wages, maybe performance related pay and of course the prospect of Premiership football. teblin Posted 1 April 2011 Posted 1 April 2011 The standard of free transfers that Sven will be able to attract will be higher than that of other managers we have had. Also I'd have though his contact and scouting is a lot wider than any manager we have had in out history. We won't need £10 million in transfer fees to build a squad to win this division. That's assuming we don't get promoted, then it will be a different ball game.

So despite the op having no substance in relation to the amount of money available and getting his transfer figures pretty much completely wrong e.g. Norton being available for just £1.5m this is pretty much the thread of the year so far!!

There's a chance me may get him permanently I don't doubt that, but I think the minimum we'd be looking at is 3m, probably closer to 4-5.

PLeased he took a longer term financial view utilising the loan market as oppose to blowing it all in Jan as some fans would have prefered. Much rather have money for pre-season perm deals.

I'd say it's going to be a point of serious discussion, when everyone is disappointed that we don't make big money signings
Ambitious Posted 1 April 2011 Posted 1 April 2011 I say we sell the whole squad and bring in 25 players aged between 16 and 18, that are in excellent form and have the potential to become champions league standard.
