glen parva fox Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 I have been to quite a number of away games the last one middlesborough. Coach 2, the space between the seats were appalling, I'm no six footer and my knees were digging into the seat in front. No fun when your travelling 160 miles each way. Was wondering what anyone else thinks about the standard of coaches used for official travel personnel.
LCFC-Sam Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Don't really enjoy it, but its the olny way i can get to away games, so it'll have to do until i can afford to insure a car!
smallpauldj Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Use national express every game I've used them ended up working out cheaper to. It's a much longer day tho. But plug sockets, leather seats and lots of room and not getting on a coach were people are determined not to have a stranger sat next to them like fox travel. Only other point is every Austin Clark coach not only looks like a shed there engines sound like there on there way out to.
1964FOX Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 The coach I go on is older and in worse condition than the Ausden Clark ones but there is plenty of banter and singing, I believe this is banned on the official coaches.

But plug sockets, Wow, I didn't know National Express supplied these?? leather seats and lots of room and not getting on a coach were people are determined not to have a stranger sat next to them like fox travel. Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 wouldnt exactly call it luxury but its not too bad. i prefer going on the fox travel rather than the train for the simple reason you get dropped off at the ground so dont have to worry about finding the ground and keep having to pay for taxis. the leg room is shocking and theres nothing worse than someones knees pushing on your back all the way there. i do wish they could make journeys more enjoyable though, play more dvds or organise a quiz - anything to kill some time!
Wymsey Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Imagine breaking down on a side stopping area of the M1 with a minibus mainly full of moaners. Never again.
James18 Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 It is bad! I'm 6"3 and have long legs (Very uncomfortable), but at 17 it is the easiest way for me and my mates to travel to away games really. Palace was the worst this season. The way back was horror!
WAGHORN IS A BLUE Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 Haha i was on that coach. Took bout seven hours to get back. Our bus were swearimg at some french bus lool
