Leicfox Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Gally's bossed centre mid since he's been on. Should of started. We always look more of a threat when he's playing.
Kitchandro Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Genuinely thing we could've been in danger of relegation under Sousa, therefore Sven has done a good job in my eyes Even if we were in threat of relegation (which I disagree with) it was jnot because of the sqaud, it was because of the manager. Any half-decent manager would have us midtable wit the sqaud we had at the time and money we've had to spend. Do you actually think he's pulled of something special here?
Haydos Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Should of started. We always look more of a threat when he's playing. I agree, Vassell should be benched, Kamara's looked twice the player and Gallagher is just too key for us. Our MOTM i reckon.
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Bit rich. you seem to love Sven... do you EVER analyse anything or simply post daft one-liners?
Guest Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Sousa was naive and shit. I'll take sven any day. It's not just that we have money - big name players and loanees will play for Sven when they won't for others.

Yeah, given he had in effect a minus points difference to start with, he's done very well.
The Doctor Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Kitchandro you tool - He's taken a squad completely demoralised after the P/O's, loss of their leader (pearson) then a complete collapse under sousa - pretty much no fitness and taken us from bottom to be still (if only theoretically) in with a chance of the play-offs. edit: Also are you suggesting we were too good to go down? - West ham 02/03 says not - you can never be too good to go down.
MikeyT Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Alan Young giving Vitor MOM. Have to agree and he's a second half sub and only been on 30 minutes. Says it all really doesn't it.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 BRING RICARDO ON NOW, BACK FLIP FROM THE HALFWAY LINE
Haydos Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Even if we were in threat of relegation (which I disagree with) it was jnot because of the sqaud, it was because of the manager. With what he's had I think he's done fine, it's not just mid-table, we're a couple of good results off the playoffs and another couple of auto. With adequate preparation this summer I think these results could be earned.
Kitchandro Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 I agree, Vassell should be benched, Kamara's looked twice the player and Gallagher is just too key for us. Our MOTM i reckon. You could also argue Yakubu should be dropped, surely? I would actually rather have Dyer in some respects.
teblin Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 The hardest time to sign players is January. People don't let the players leave so it was always going to be tough. But Vitor should play every game if fit Sven certainly gets that wrong.
ScouseFox Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 He's not shown himself to be good enough. How has he done that? We should be aiming for promotion with the money we've spent. We are far short of that I'm afraid. If he takes us up next season, he will have proved to be the man for the job. Until then I'm sceptical. Yeah aiming for promotion, and like I said, take out Sousa's reign, and we're in the play off places, fighting for promotion. Good enough. Not unbelievably good, not shit. I think we're 5th going on Sven's time here alone, which is good enough considering it's not his squad and he didn't have a pre-season. Next year when we're walking this league with fully fit players who Sven has bought, we'll continue this conversation
LinciolnshireFox Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 too right... season over, lets send the fat Yak bastad back and start building for next season with some of our own, young, hungry talent would you seriously continue to pay the Yak until the end of the season... some of the posts on here are starting to become ridiculous With Erickson in change again next season, expect much of the same. No commitment on building local or academy talent. Erickson only has one tune to his management bow; that is to spend, spend spend. Sorry but the guy isn't' a proven success as manager. He never did much with England and as I said, his past successes have been at top European clubs. He was sacked by both England and Mexico remember. His team selection too is eccentric to say the least, dropping players when they are in good form and filing the team with uncommitted loanees.
MikeyT Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Best we can finish is 5th now If that happens, i shall cut off, fry and eat my own testicles.
Guest Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 You could also argue Yakubu should be dropped, surely? I would actually rather have Dyer in some respects. Dyer has problems scoring in a brothel. Sincerely hope we have the players that he never plays for the City again.
ousefox Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Bruma hasn't been terrible today, been one of the better players IMO. Just him and Bamba does not work. I just really don't see why the defence needed tinkering with during our good win. Pathetic tactics.
Libertine Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 How about: He's done a pretty decent job. Not a 'miracle' necessarily, but decent considering the start and the amount of loanees. Yes he makes some daft decisions, the defence is a shambles. I won't say "we'll rape the division next season", but I'm pretty confident that we'll be up there in the top 6 at least. It doesn't have to be either a miracle or a disaster.
