Mike the Metal Ed Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Leeds 1-2 Watford, still only four points off.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 WERE TURNING INTO ****ING ARSENAL ****ING SHOOT
Kitchandro Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 You can't buy a side. With what he's had I think he's done fine, it's not just mid-table, we're a couple of good results off the playoffs and another couple of auto. With adequate preparation this summer I think these results could be earned. He's done OK, an he deserves a chance next season. But he has made mistakes and only he's to blame for them. It annoys me when people call him our saviour. He's not done anything special.
Leicfox Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 GET IN YOU ****ING DANCER..... Watford score again. Its as we were now before todays game, 4pts adrift but now only 4 games left.
MikeyT Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 As it stands with the Watford and Millwall score we are only 4 points off playoffs still.
Haydos Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 You could also argue Yakubu should be dropped, surely? I would actually rather have Dyer in some respects. No. Dyer is shit. He can't kick a football and he can't dribble. Occasionally he might worry a full back that's shitter than he is but no more than a squad player IMO. Yakubu is like a poor man's Rooney, he has the ability to produce even when having an off day.
Kitchandro Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Kitchandro you tool - He's taken a squad completely demoralised after the P/O's, loss of their leader (pearson) then a complete collapse under sousa - pretty much no fitness and taken us from bottom to be still (if only theoretically) in with a chance of the play-offs. edit: Also are you suggesting we were too good to go down? - West ham 02/03 says not - you can never be too good to go down. I'm saying we wouldn't have gone down, yes. What are you on about you're never too good to go down? If you don't go down, you are good enough to stay up. Sorry, you're being ridiculous if you think he's worked a miracle to get us midtable.
Webbo Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 What a sickener. I need Man City to thrash ManUre tonight now to cheer me up.
Guest Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 5pts adrift with 4 games left ?????? ITS DO-ABLE. Yeah but we now need to win 4 straight and hope the results for 6 other teams go our way.
Salieri Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 you seem to love Sven... do you EVER analyse anything or simply post daft one-liners? If all i ever post are 'daft one liners', how have you come to that conclusion? I happen to think Sven has made a fair few mistakes with signings and particularly selection policy, but I still maintain he deserves a crack at it next season, if he fails then, fair enough. He's neither a fantastic manager nor a terrible one, but given what alternatives are out there, I'm more than happy to have him here for the time being.

His off day is way too often. We can do better. I'd rather hve Shane Long or Grant Holt. There must be other gems like them out there. As for Dyer, at least he's a winger. Yakubu has done fvck all on the wing. And up front. Send him back.
MikeyT Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 5pts adrift with 4 games left ?????? ITS DO-ABLE. I refer you to my "testicles" comment on the previous page.

Why the **** is it always 'shit' or 'god' with you simpletons on here?

These are players that have been discovered, you don't just pick and choose them. We have Andy King, Richie Wellens, Paul Gallagher.
Kitchandro Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Nobody's saying miracle. Why the **** is it always 'shit' or 'god' with you simpletons on here? Yes they are. Somebody seems to think he'sd one something special. Personally I think he's done what I expected. OK. Adequate. Not shit.

He's our third top goalscorer and he's been here less than half the season. I'd love it if we could keep hold of him, he scores goals.
The Doctor Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 How about: He's done a pretty decent job. Not a 'miracle' necessarily, but decent considering the start and the amount of loanees. Yes he makes some daft decisions, the defence is a shambles. I won't say "we'll rape the division next season", but I'm pretty confident that we'll be up there in the top 6 at least. It doesn't have to be either a miracle or a disaster. C'mon lib - you've been here long enough to know that the middle ground doesn't exist on here.

These are players that have been discovered, you don't just pick and choose them. We have Andy King, Richie Wellens, Paul Gallagher. Exactly. We are picking players on reputation. The good players in this league are making their own reputations. King, Wellens and Gallagher are good but we need more players of that quality and more. You can't deny that we aren't good enough. The players we have aren't good enough on the whole. Yakubu included.
