Went there for the first time on Friday night since November 2009, it was absolutely cack!, there was hardly anyone in there, I used to go in there numerous times in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, and it used to be busy as hell but now its like a ghost town, is this normal in there for Fridays these days?

Right, everyone ok with derailing this and making it about life rather than a club?

The way i see it is that existance has become purely about money, we're driven by greed and greed alone resulting in a loss of community spirit. This lack of community spirit and the amount of work people do to earn money means we hardly know our neighbourhood like the good old days and without that ever present social side of things i.e. sat out in the garden and having a good chin-wag with the people from next door, life is missing something.

(oh and the likes of facebook & twitter are not a social thing).

What Maybes said. Friday nights in town generally have gone right downhill, but if you go to any other clubs other than Republic now it seems more often than not, there'll be no one in there. When I went in for the first Friday night in a good while the other week there was barely anybody in the bars, either. Mosh on a Tuesday was going downhill by the time I'd stopped going but there was still always a good feeling around the place and loads in there, guaranteed. Probably the only night I'd go in town for now.

Apparently there's still meant to be a fair few people scattered around the clubs on Saturdays though. I used to love Liquid on Saturdays no matter how filthy it was, seems that's pretty close to dying a death now, won't be surprised if it's out of business before long.

Liquid is still pretty decent on a Saturday night, if anything there's too many people in there at times. We tend to get in there for about 12 though so we've been drinking a while already so I might just be exaggerating a bit, I dunno.

I find it charmingly horrific, though, even if some coked up middle aged guy did try to chew my ear off once.

Only thing that bothers / bothered me about Life was half the people in it.

Fair.
