Clive Redman Posted 13 May 2011 Posted 13 May 2011 From his latest blog... "One striker who would always give you that is Emile Heskey and his name seems to be constantly linked with a return to the club. I actually text him a few months ago and asked him about it straight up and his reply was, ‘not yet.’ So watch this space. Bruno is clearly contemplating wearing the blue of Leicester City again and it would be a cracking way for him to finish his career. I’m sure his family would love him to return to the area and it would be great to see him back." "It’s been a tough week for Foxes legend Neil Lennon up at Celtic and he seems to be in the headlines all the time at the moment. Lenny hasn’t helped himself at times, winding up supporters and getting into plenty of feuds during his career, but the treatment and abuse he’s getting recently is completely out of order. "You’ve got to worry for him and his family and I’m sure thoughts of walking away have entered his head. But the Neil Lennon I know, and I’m sure you all remember, will never walk away from anything. Let’s hope for his sake that all of this nonsense dies down soon. I’ve not been able to talk to Lenny as he’s had to change his mobile number several times for security reasons but my thoughts are with him and I wish Celtic all the best in the title race." Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 May 2011 Posted 13 May 2011 Those 8/13 odds Walsh has got on Huddersfield are terrible, I got 2/1. Back to the proper topic, hope Heskey comes back, Walsh seems optimistic.
cc_star Posted 13 May 2011 Posted 13 May 2011 Whilst Heskey isn't the same player he was when he used to make Michael Owen look good for England - He'd be a brilliant option for us If he did sign we'd have to play 4-4-2 to accommodate him, I'm sure Yakubu would appreciate someone like Heskey's contribution too
CupidStunt Posted 13 May 2011 Posted 13 May 2011 Heskey and Owen up front, now that would be taking the piss
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 May 2011 Posted 13 May 2011 Whilst Heskey isn't the same player he was when he used to make Michael Owen look good for England - He'd be a brilliant option for us If he did sign we'd have to play 4-4-2 to accommodate him, I'm sure Yakubu would appreciate someone like Heskey's contribution too Agree with you completely mate.. Heskey and 4-4-2 would work. Let's be honest, he'd play his heart out for city and would still be able to hold the ball up lovely... My only fear would be his injury record... If he only ends up playing a third of the season due to little niggling injuries I'd look elsewhere
somebum Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 Heskey has always been lazy and will come here for one last fat paycheque.
sdb Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 Heskey has always been lazy and will come here for one last fat paycheque. utter bullshit
lee(lcfc) Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 would love heskey back and no man should go through what neil is going through it only a game at the end of the day
Corky Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 I wouldn't want Heskey to come back, struggle and people forget his first spell at the club. I'd like to see him back at the club in some capacity in the future though.
ajthefox Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 " not yet " Sounds like he`s coming then ?????? It would have to be now or never imo.... I'm inclined to agree with this. I don't think it will ever happen to be honest, but any later than next summer and it wouldn't really be worth it, especially since we're all hoping to be back in the premiership by this time next year.
