Different font and a White nose for the fox. Also missing the dots between the words. Loads really......

Needs pics really before I can decide between the two most current badges.

Edit: Dug some old shirts out.. there's not much difference really. New one slightly better when it isn't made of that glittery gold.

Can anybody explain the relevence of the white rose on the logo?

The only thing I can think of is it might have something to do with the battle of bosworth, Leicestershire (1485) being the battle that ended the wars of the roses. Red of Lancashire v the white of Yorkshire.

The official flower of Leicestershire is the foxglove.

It's not a white rose! It's a cinquefoil used on the city's coat of arms which was originally used by the first Earl of Leicester.

Sorry guys, just managed to answer my own question.

For those who are interested, Sosban is quite correct. The first quarter of the flag of Leicestershire is a cinquefolium, or five petalled ermine flower, within a red circle, which belonged to the Beaumont family. In 1103 Robert de Beaumont was made the first Earl of Leicester. The cinquefolium was also adopted for the City of Leicester’s Arms.

No, I wouldn't have thought they'd have a template, you'll probably have to take an image of the logo in with you.
