Matt Posted 11 June 2005 Posted 11 June 2005 Anyone got the new album? Is it any good? I was looking at it today, I loved there last album "Elephant" and I like Blue Orchid. Also anyone got the Foo Fighters new album or heard the new Foo Fighters album I love the Foo Fighters and I will most probably be getting the album, but even if I do buy the albums i've listed for a few weeks, maybe even months they will have to be amazing to be played in place of Coldplays - X & Y!

Tommy Posted 11 June 2005 Posted 11 June 2005 Speaking of the White Stripes new album I got it today from HMV for 12.99 And I have to say that I love it. The songs range from Glam Rock to Soft Rock to Pop and so on and so on. Also I have the new Foo Fighters album, which may I also add is top notch stuff.

Mark Posted 11 June 2005 Posted 11 June 2005 They should take a few titles off Franz Ferdinand this year.. Most overated and overhyped band of the year Most overated single of the year - biggest load of trash i've ever heard

Ricey Posted 12 June 2005 Posted 12 June 2005 I got both the Foo Fighters album and The White Stripes albums yesterday. I haven't listened to The White Stripes album much but so far it sounds a lot different and varied compared to Elephant. The Foos album is really good, it is nothing groundbreaking but it is the Foo Fighters doing what they do best. Some good little songs on the Acoustic side aswell.

Matt Posted 4 September 2005 Author Posted 4 September 2005 Finally got round to buying it today, I am very disappointed, so disappointed infact I can't actually listen to it, I like Blue Orchid and My Doorbell but I can see why they have been release because most of the other songs on the album are very poor, I hopeing if I try and listen to it a few more times it will grow on me, but at this rate i'm taking it back and saying "someone else has also bought me this so is it possible I could return it?" <_<
rossporterlc Posted 5 September 2005 Posted 5 September 2005 haven't heard white stripes album but like blue orchid and doorbell foo fighters album is great, only cost me £10 too
Phil Posted 5 September 2005 Posted 5 September 2005 love them seeing them 3 times when they come to Britian in November
Alexikokopops Posted 6 September 2005 Posted 6 September 2005 I have 5 White Stripes albums (The White Stripes, De Stijl, White Blood Cells, Elephant and Get Behind Me Satan) but I don't actually like them. Never have.
Matt Posted 18 September 2005 Author Posted 18 September 2005 Attempted to return the CD today but I can't find the receipt for the CD, so tried to return it anyway but they won't accept the return without a receipt at HMV, so I know its wrong but I then took it to Asda see if they would give me a swop or exchange, e.t.c...but they wouldn't do it without a receipt either. I said in HMV it was bought for my birthday but I already have the album but they didn't accept the excuse... I'm sure I didn't throw the receipt away so i'm hoping its lieing round my bedroom somewhere because i'm gutted i've wasted £10 on this crap!

Cat Burger Posted 18 September 2005 Posted 18 September 2005 The hardest button to button is a really good song. Seven nation army is catchy. Other than that... shite - Blue orchid being the worst song ever!
