Saw a documentary once, about German consultants who were looking for factories in China and other Far East countries, where they could manufacture products for the European market.

The Germans were astonished to discover that almost wherever they went, people had no comprehension of the term "quality", and that a thing such as 100 % standardized end product was not viewed upon as a necessity.

The factory managers simply couldn't understand why the Germans needed the end product to be an exact replica of the prototype. They felt that "close enough" would do just fine.

Based on that, it doesn't seem strange that kits end up dodgy, or that two seemingly similar kits have a completely different fit.

True you always get some fitting better than others. Bet you could try on 10 shirts 7 would be good 3 toss. Same with the washing along as they exchange them it's not great shakes most of us are there every week. Just bit disappointing that it seems rushed as someone earlier mentioned. Up the foxes

Hi everyone.. Not been around these forums for ages..

My partner brought me the new home football shirt 2 months ago.. I've worn it 5 times and it's been washed 5 times on 30c in the machine.. The print is peeling off something terrible..

1. How do I contact the club shop online we brought it from? I can't find any contact details anywhere

2. Do you think they will replace it? I can see a few people have had the same problems.

3. Nice to see you all again!

Hearing all the issues with the new kit is disappointing. Whatever money the club saves by going with a 2nd rate shirt maker must be lost through replacement costs and fans, like me, who hesitate to buy when the quality and consistency are clearly so poor.

i have heard with burrda its a diff deal...they actually pay leicester to sell the shirts then leicester take a cut.....so all the cost falls onto burrda...however this does not stop the clubs name being tarnished with poor quality shirts plus the fact there marketing must be hit as this could be very embarrassing........i wish they would stop messing about with no mark shirt manufacturers and go to a quality shirt supplier.

It makes no difference to me what company makes our kit - I don't care how famous the kit maker's logo on the shirt is. However, if the quality is poor, then I'd hope we could go to a more reputable kit manufacturer next time. If our replica shirts fall to bits after a few washes, the fans are annoyed, and it doesn't reflect well on the kit maker or the football club.

end of the month they come in, asked them on saturday!

Thanks mate.. Will contact them now..

I have to admit.. I buy the kit every season and I'm very disappointed with this one even though it looks great. I was going to buy the away shirt but I won't now unless someone can confirm that there isn't a problem with it and also I won't this shirt I have replaced of course.

The away shirts are fine because they took their time making it, just the home kit whats annoying me, going back tommorow to take it back.

Also taking yellow one back i got couple months ago, yet they said they wont be able to put the printing on the replaced one for free :frusty:

I'm now on my 3rd shirt, bought the home shirt on first day, fell to pieces after 4 washes. Took it back after Real madrid game, and suprise suprise after bristol city game and 3 washes at 30 it has once again started peeling.!!, Now have a away shirt. Managed to get through to someone at the club and had a good old moan. Apparantly the quality was only a issue with the 1st batch, not had any issues since then ?! !Have the guys name and will be kicking off if away shirt falls to pieces as expected, and will post his name as a contact for all you good people .

23 years of buying city shirts and these are the only quality issues i've ever had...

I took the home kit and last years away one which is now the third kit back because both peeled, the yellow was peeled ages ago but didn't fuss about it then.

Well both got exchanged but the they lied to me saying they was going to put the print back on the yellow kit, however they got the manager and 10 minutes later the manager came down and said they cannot exchange it since the 'new' 3rd kit has slight changes.

Another 10 minutes later they came back and said they will look for the kits in the back from last season and the manager didn't look happy one bit because they couldn't suddenly after saying they will exchange it and then suddenly say no.

15 minutes later after they said they 'searched' for the last season kit they came down and found one they printed it and after ages of waiting I got out with two new exchanged shirts.

The guy who exchanged the yellow kit for another one is going to get told off I bet! Took all that time because the person who exchanged the yellow kit didnt know mine was a year old haha! But I wasn't going to leave without another yellow kit which cost over £50!

Happy now

I don’t think we've had a decent kit in the 18 years I've supported the club. I think it's a piss take these new shirts falling to bits. I probably would buy one if the club could produce a quality product and not some cheap, badly made, piece of crap. I remember our first game away to Chelsea back in the prem when our players names and numbers were peeling off during the game. Embarrassment. Nothing changes.

Am i going to be the only one that feels sympathetic for the poor staff at our clubs shop?? They must be taking such an ear bashing over these shirts that burrda made, its not like its their fault or anything ... Providing they replace the shirt like-for-like with no fuss i dont see how anyone can be particularly unhappy with their end of the service.

BLAME IT ALL ON BURRDA PEOPLE!

On another note how is it a disgrace that they are out of stock on shirts? I dont understand as u dont walk into a main stream shop like cult and kick up a fuss because they're out of stock of something, u feel upset for a while and carry on with life. People need to get a grip.

i went in yesterday and he 'found one' round the back hahahahaha

You wanna check out it's not faulty then, because every batch they send in it's been faulty!!
