RAFRUDY Posted 16 July 2011 Posted 16 July 2011 I took my shirt that I bought 3 weeks ago that is falling apart back to the shop today. I didn't have a receipt and they still gave me a new one, no questions asked. The new one seems a bit better quality than the first and also a better fit., but I guess only time will tell.
lcfcadam Posted 16 July 2011 Posted 16 July 2011 Just wear plenty of anti-perspirant, avoid staining foods and don't bother washing it...
Stuliasz Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Worn mine for the first time at the game yesterday, washed it today on the lowest possible setting and most of the stuff on the front of the shirt has peeled off. Has anyone actually had any luck with refunds/replacements?
Matt Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Worn mine for the first time at the game yesterday, washed it today on the lowest possible setting and most of the stuff on the front of the shirt has peeled off. Has anyone actually had any luck with refunds/replacements? I took mine back yesterday as the Burrda logo and 'P' off the sponsor was peeling off, swapped it fine. The new ones, do seems abit better, still feel poor quality (Thin material) but better, and it seems more 'fitted' a much better fit. Hopefully my new one will be fine now If not, i'll just request my money back next time, no doubt they'd say i'll have to have a credit receipt or something, if so i'll get a polo shirt or something.
maynefox Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 I got mine yesterday and all ready like a big line/mark on the front, its irritable. The quality is the worse ive ever seen in my life! its a joke
FrankieADZ Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 and..........now i've been totally put off in getting the new shirt <_< lets get Adidas next time.

ithuriel Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 I'll stick with my 125th anniversary shirt, it is still looking like new.
LCFCmatt Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Got the green goalie shirt and it is very good at the moment.
El Sieffsi Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Washed mine and my lads 5 times..label says to wash on 40 degrees..but i do them on 30 inside out and are still fine
Cockney Fox Posted 24 August 2011 Posted 24 August 2011 First shirt I recieved via mail order had a weird mark on the back of it so I sent it back. The replacement I recieved, despite being the same size, was a completely different fit around the waist. I'm currently waiting for a refund (and for City to find a better shirt manufacturer).
ros foxy Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 you probably used wrong temperature...it did the same to my yellow away shirt...but no problems with the new one for me You don't need to buy it I agree , I wash mine on a 30 degree wash, and just let it dry on a coat hanger, no ironing and no problems so far
KFS Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 3 washes, no sign of peeling.. I'm coming up for the Southampton game so I'd prefer it starting to peel now rather than later!
I am Rod Hull Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 Washed mine and my lads 5 times..label says to wash on 40 degrees..but i do them on 30 inside out and are still fine Thats what i do with the lads... Gets washed 2/3 times a week and its ok at the moment, unlike his last one which peeled...
Mack Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 I'm in this business. The shirts wont be made by Burrda but by a 3rd party manufacturer in the far east that will just make the shirt to the design agreed by Burrda and the club. The same factories will be producing kits that are branded by many major manufacturers and teams, and several samples would have been issued to Burrda and LCFC before it was approved. It may well be that the sponsor detail is being applied by yet another 3rd party, or by the same far east sweat shop. You would have thought someone at the club or Burrda would have had the foresight to wash a sample a few times before passing it for mass production. I get the impression that the creation of this years kits was all done in a rush to have it on sale quickly, hence all the quality issues as the manufacturer was pushing their work force extra hard to meet the club's deadline.
@mrtonycox Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 this is the yellow shirt i got last year. the transfer is cracked but at least it had lasted the year. the name and number on the back is still fine without a scratch. something about the King Power Logo? My son's yellow shirt is also exactly the same.. Looks years old already and he only got it in Jan this year.. He alternates his shirt between games and season only just started. We've bought some white ones, so far they've been ok in the wash.. One of the kids wears it all the time and it seems to be fairing well with all the washes.
Fjällräven Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 Saw a documentary once, about German consultants who were looking for factories in China and other Far East countries, where they could manufacture products for the European market. The Germans were astonished to discover that almost wherever they went, people had no comprehension of the term "quality", and that a thing such as 100 % standardized end product was not viewed upon as a necessity. The factory managers simply couldn't understand why the Germans needed the end product to be an exact replica of the prototype. They felt that "close enough" would do just fine. Based on that, it doesn't seem strange that kits end up dodgy, or that two seemingly similar kits have a completely different fit.
