tartanowl Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 I just thought I'd let you all know that he is leaving Hillsborough only 6 months after joining from Leicester today. He's off to Charlton. I can't say I'm surprised. He's bottom of the pile and looked way off the pace when he played last season.

Personally I'm delighted he has gone. Our weakest centre half and he's off the wage bill. We even got a fee back for him too! The man is a liability. He looked off the pace in every single game he played for Wednesday. I thought he'd end up rotting in the reserves, or at a smaller club, and we'd maybe have to take a hit and still end up paying some of his wages. I would guess and presume that he's on similar money with you.

That sometimes happens in football for players at some clubs. He may well get his career back on track elsewhere. I'm pleased he has gone though. Not good enough from what we saw. I'm pleased he has gone though. Not good enough from what we saw. He was awful! He has played some decent stuff for us in the championship..... so make of that what you will.... Personally i think he gained confidence from playing with good players around him... thats not meant to be offensive but we HAVE had other Wednesday fans on here saying your whole team was poor last season... with him being a young lad still i think he needs a good experienced leader next to him to bring the best out of him.... or a manager who played in his position to really help him with his game... in our case he had both....

Fox92 Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Good move for Morrison in my opinion. Good player at League 1 level, and even Championship level as well. Very good in the air and fairly versatile. DJ Campbell was crap for us remeber! Mainly because the football we played wasn't right for him.
