ElbertTheFox Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 The signing of Matt Mills has finally smashed the transfer record of Ade Akinbiyi http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/5-5m-Mills-deal-smash-Leicester-City-s-Akinbiyi/story-12908146-detail/story.html
Head Honcho Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 I think this is a case of letting the story fit the headline as opposed to the other way round! The fee is undisclosed how hard is that to understand!
surrifox Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 of all the fantastic stories and urban myths swirling around the Akinbiyi transfer as I recall hearing Taylor had agreed a fee around 3.5 million and the Wolves chairman or CEO then called back to say that they wanted another mill or so before they would complete . Taylor said " are you sure he's worth all that?" to which the reply was "of course Peter we wouldn't lie to you now would we?"
DrunkenAwayFan Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 Ade Akinbiyi was brought for 5.6 million and mills is rising up to 5 million so ....
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 What a fantastic coup by Sven. Matt is not only an extremely fine player, but will also be a great team captain, which is what I believe.. he will be in the coming season

sdb Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 Basically, if we go up he'll become our record signing. For now it's still AA. That said, Maynard may soon hold that title
BrummieFOX Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 Too much for a defender. Why? If you don't concede, you can't lose. Hate this mentality that strikers are more important which is really what you are insinuating.
