VampLCFC Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 Anyone been down and bought one yet this morning? If so, what is the quality like compared to the home shirt? Any problems with the badges like on the others?? Cheers
Jace Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 first person to stain their new away shirt please post pics
sdb Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 Also very interested to find out the quality and fitting of the shirt. Same as the home no doubt. Good times...
FrankieADZ Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 is the megastore actually open then?wondering as in the press release on the OS there saying "get it from the megastore" and such like.
City fan @ Aston Uni Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 Does anyone know if we will be having a new third strip this year or will last years yellow strip be used instead?
80footgiraffe Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 I got one, pretty much exactly the same as the home, maybe slightly stretchier. Quite loose but fits well round the middle. The black goalie top is also brilliant, couldn't afford it but nearly got it! Looks class. Hope this helped : )
80footgiraffe Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 Does anyone know if we will be having a new third strip this year or will last years yellow strip be used instead? I'm not sure, but there were a lot of yellow kits for sale, but when I went to buy the home kit, they were on sale, so I imagine there might be a third kit. Hope so
VampLCFC Posted 9 July 2011 Author Posted 9 July 2011 Megastore is open as usual yea, but it's temporarily moved due to rebuilding and improvements, it's about 50 yards to right of where the megastore usually is, nearer to the main reception
VampLCFC Posted 9 July 2011 Author Posted 9 July 2011 I'll be going down there shortly to hopefully buy one, I'll let people know if they're having the same "wonky badge" problems as the blue home kit
nuttytimmy Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 Does anyone know if we will be having a new third strip this year or will last years yellow strip be used instead? Yellow it is. Still full price in MS when I was down last week. MS is dead easy to find, in Exhibition Hall A. Signage to point you in the right direction. As for the shirt, I'm waiting for the postman...

Yea I agree mate, it's ok as a temporary measure I guess, but there was bugger all in there, also there was no large short sleeve home shirts left :-s

nuttytimmy Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 Back to the topic at hand, the posty's just been... Love it. Same as home kit, badge is upright and central, transfers seem good and fit is as expected, if a little looser round the collar (I can pull-on this one with my glasses on, unlike the home shirt).
MC Prussian Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 Is that a red stain in the middle, underneath the G in KING?
HEGGSY Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 Is that a red stain in the middle, underneath the G in KING? that was my exact thought when i saw that picture...back on topic i bought the home shirt today when i went to get my tickets for the game against madrid and the white shirt is brilliant but i just couldnt justify speding £40 on it when i know it will just attract dirt.
sdb Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 Looks alright, what size is that? The home shirt always looked too short.
maynefox Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 I've been deciding all week, if i should get the home or away. I always get the home shirt, and the only away/3rd kit was the Gold reversible shirt (FA cup run). with the home shirt, I can play football with it for training, whethers with the White shirt its not ideal to slide into a pool of mud with it on. In addition I know ill get some curry sauce on the White top and it will be a waste of money, it will turn grey the first week i get it. Its just looks so so nice the away shirt..... decision decisions ..
nuttytimmy Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 No, it's not a stain although it looks like it! It's a plectrum that hangs down from my phone. It's a large, I'm about 5'10", and yes it's going to get filthy but just look at the thing!! No, it's not a stain although it looks like it! It's a plectrum that hangs down from my phone. 1964FOX Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 Went to get mine and when I tried it on it is quite see through, so not the right thing for a mid 40's bloke with a belly. Also I would undoubtedly get food on it when having drunk too much prior to away games. With regret I have decided not to purchase one.
baylisslcfc Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 Just like the home shirt mine new shirt has a good city and burrda badge and everything seems all fine. I must just be lucky? I've washed the home shirt loads of times, and its still just like it was when I bought it. I've seen seen some of the pictures on here and I don't understand why some of the shirts are so poor.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Had mine delivered today, they have just put it in the parcel bag and sent it...its creased up bad and they haven't bothered using a plastic bag to fold it in like they do it the shop
claridges'_socks Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Went in and had a look today, theyre all really creased like they've been kept scrunched up in storage, some of the badges are terrible! Took me ages to find a decent home shirt too
