Happy Fox Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 This has nothing to do with sky but our fixture at home against Leeds Utd has been moved http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20110718/sunday-service-at-leicester_2247585_2393564? Leeds United's trip to Leicester City has been moved back 24 hours. The game was due to take place on Saturday November 5 at the Walkers Stadium, but will now take place on Sunday November 6 with a 3pm kick-off. The date has been switched due to a clash with a televised fixture for Leicester Tigers RUFC who share the Walkers Stadium with the Foxes. Plenty of mistakes <_<
lee(lcfc) Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 we roll over for them all the time. why cant they change to sunday.
accessory Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 we roll over for them all the time. why cant they change to sunday. It's more a case of both teams rolling over for Sky whenever asked to do so.

Corky Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Prefer Saturdays but we were always going to have to move a game.
Foxblogger Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 The return match with Coventry on 3rd March could move too as the Tigers are due to meet Gloucester at Welford Road on the same afternoon. I imagine we'll have to wait until January to see if one or the other is picked for live TV coverage.
Jagdinho Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Can't see nothing wrong with this. Last year im sure they moved there own Boxing day clash so we could keep ours? So to be honest, i'm fine with it.
Bert Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 As much I hate it, and the tigers we take it in turns which is the only fair way to do it. If you wanna have a moan, moan at the police. They're the ones that called for it.

To be fair to them, it's hard enough keeping Leicester moving on a normal day without either one of the footy or rugger going on - having both on the same day just brings the city to a standstill. It's only sensible that one fixture is changed, whichever one is easiest to be altered. In this instance, because the rugger's on Sky, the footy is easier to move. Why the consternation? It's not like you've already made plans you can't change for November!

I was just stating why the games now have to get moved. How do you know I've not booked my holiday for that Sunday anyway? Nob.

How do you know I've not booked my holiday for that Sunday anyway? Nob. Seems a little harsh. If you've booked your holiday for that Sunday, it's a pity you won't then be able to go to the game. That it means 20,000+ people will be able to move around Leicester more easily on both Sat and Sun is, I guess, a by-product of what is clearly a spiteful inconvenience directed at you...

Did you not actually read my initial post on it, or just not properly? I said it was a fair way to do things. I then said what I said about the police requiring games to be moved. I wasn't having a go, or even moaning. Just pointing out that for the people that do want to moan, the police are the reason why we can longer play on the same day. For the record, I've no holiday booked for that day, I just asked how do you know I've not.
