ramboacdc Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 hey i wont bore you with the details but basically i start work tomorrow at the paddy power in leicester. i remember when i parked there for my interview i parked in the haymarket shopping centre and it cost me an arm and a leg. i got a 6 hour shift tomorrow (8:10-2:10) and i was just wondering where there was an alternative parking in relation that is cheaper? im not looking for free ( i know thats impossible) but a little bit cheaper. ive been travelling to peterborough and back for the last 2 weeks so a trip to leicester for work is fine with me
goose2010 Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 the car park just before you get to the holiday inn is about £3.50 all day i think, you might even get it cheaper as you will be there before 9am. Ok it is a bit of a walk but with save you some cash

Bert Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 If you're gonna park in that car park, you might as well save your Money and park on Tudor road. It's literally 30 seconds away from that car park,10 minutes from town.
cambridgefox Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 Could be worse you could live in Cambridge.City centre over 5 hours £24 Thieving twats.

THATS A TWENTY MINUTE WALK!......but definatly free? i might risk it. it does look very rough down there though.
ramboacdc Posted 5 August 2011 Author Posted 5 August 2011 Could be worse you could live in Cambridge.City centre over 5 hours £24 Thieving twats. £24 quid?! jesus ****ing christ i would rather walk!

I have one of those, it costs mr £52 per month but that gives me TOTAL unlimited parking in the Rutland st ncp, you can come and go as you please as many times a day as you like, it's secure, you can leave your car overnight, it's never too crowded and best of all, when you put your card inthe barrier to get out it tells you how much it would have cost if u just parked as a normal customer (my record is over £400 when I went on holiday!)

How is it that cheap? The NCP website says £32.84 per week for a season ticket at Rutland street.
DB11 Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 How is it that cheap? The NCP website says £32.84 per week for a season ticket at Rutland street. Because £32.84 a week equates to £131.36 a month, so £52 a month that he pays is 40% cheaper.
danny. Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Because £32.84 a week equates to £131.36 a month, so £52 a month that he pays is 40% cheaper. that post makes no sense mate - the NCP website saying a season ticket is £131.36/month is exactly my point, how is he getting it for £52/month?
DB11 Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 that post makes no sense mate - the NCP website saying a season ticket is £131.36/month is exactly my point, how is he getting it for £52/month? That's not what you asked. You asked how is what he's paying cheap, which you've just proved yourself that it is very cheap
danny. Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 That's not what you asked. You asked how is what he's paying cheap, which you've just proved yourself that it is very cheap read what I wrote again buddy... "How is it that cheap?" not "How is that cheap?" I park there myself everyday, on a £3.50 day tariff - which is less than the NCP advertised rates, £52/month would be even cheaper though, hence the enquiry.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Because the guy in the paper shop that I mentioned above owns a load of spaces at the cheaper rate, buy a ticket off him - as I said - hello cheaper rate - I think the guys name is Ifty

I'll pay him a visit!
ramboacdc Posted 8 August 2011 Author Posted 8 August 2011 parked on tudor road today and walked in. much easier. and a bit healthier..apart from the fags i smoked whilst walking in.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 ah wicked - is it a proper NCP credit-card-stylee card? I'll pay him a visit! That it is, when you set it up you will be invoiced directly from ncp themelves

My apologies I misread it
Big Ol' Bob Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 There is FREE parking in the city centre. If you are prepared to walk for 5 minutes, then follow St.Margarets way out towards Halfords and Carpet Right opposite Abbey Park. The car parks there don't have any barrier that comes down at night, it has no charge and there is no cameras, that take down your number plate to limit your stay. As I say, you do have to walk back down St.Margarets for 5 minutes.
huckaback Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Hiya i was wondering if the £52 car parking with the guy in the news agents was still there?
