Zingari Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 To be honest, i think we should be wary of every team in the league, you can't and shouldn't take anything for granted in football. Anything can happen. i agree , and actually i think it still will be a great achievement to get in the play-offs this year , make no bones about it , there are some good teams in this league , and none are going to roll over

Marmite Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 There is always a dark horse every year and after watching there performance against Leeds on Saturday night I think Southampton could be that horse. They seemed very organised and have a very good manager in Nigel Adkins, I fancy them to reach the play offs
mancunianfox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 That Leeds side looks apalling this season and much weaker than last year. Not sure how much you can read into this one result. Southampton look good but the op needs to behave. That front free are not going to score sixty goals...one of them might get 20 but not all three. The difference maker in the championship is having a quality defense. Plenty of strikers get twenty goals for smaller clubs who end up in mid table and lots of teams go up without having a particularly strong forward line. I think this is what sets us apart from everyone else this season.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 We should be wary of any championship team, esp at the moment
Fox92 Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 We should be wary of most teams within the division, but the best thing we can do is try and win every match.
purpleronnie Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 We struggled against coventry so the answer is definately!
Ric Flair Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 They look useful, that Lallana I actually think is better than Oxlade-Chamberlain. It all depends how they use their £12 million they get. They still can't compete with us on wages so if it's Maynard we're worried they'll snatch from us then we shouldn't. I'm convinced that with a new striker and a new winger this squad will stand up against anything this season.
