Socks Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Firstly: Swansea, QPR and Norwich got knocked out and the Beeb commentators are making out its the end of the world for the clubs. To be honest if i was a fan of one of those teams I would be more bothered about staying in the Premiership. Enough Said Secondly whats Claridges problem with us ? Bruce-Ball was just saying about how he helped us win it in a replay, and he just said " hmmmmm" as if he was unhappy with it !! what a tool

Sadly, he just seems to have a complete downer on us since Sven took charge. I seem to remember he was fairly pro Leicester in the Pearson play-off season.

I know I would. Also, reserve and fringe players are given a go in these games. They will probably be required to play in league games as the season progresses. It won't help belief and confidence having endured an unexpected defeat.
Socks Posted 23 August 2011 Author Posted 23 August 2011 i reckon the beeb and claridge just like to wind people up but as warnock just said "its not a competition thats a priority", and they dont play 1st players in case of injury. at least he is admitting it !!

Can understand him being sceptical about Sven, though.

It won't help belief and confidence having endured an unexpected defeat. Absolutely. If we'd been hammered at home to Rochdale or Franchise (and of course we still could be), it would make the season for many sheep, scum and sky blues. A lot of fans would have to endure a fair amount of stick and suffer embarassment, even humiliation. It's not like we're achieving a lot in the league right now to compensate. With the money teams get for promotion to the top flight, they should be able to build squads capable of coping with more than one competition at a time. We managed it ourselves with some success back in the day.
FoxyPV Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Clardirge can go **** himself. He's been hyper-critical of us since Sven took over. He has all the insight of a man in a dark room wearing a welding mask.

I bet that'll probably be due to something totally unrealated!
Jace Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 hope we get another decent league cup run this season would be great to see another final again
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 I'd very much like to see us have a good cup run.. I'm of the 'winning breeds winning' school so a good run in the cup may lift confidence for subsequent league performances. On the subject of clagger.. He obviously has a bee in his bonnet about something but i really couldn't give a shit. He was a city legend but that's a long time hence.. We are now looking for new legends for the club
Ozwin Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Claridge was definately abused by Filbert Fox at some point during his tenure with us.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 August 2011 Posted 24 August 2011 Claridge is a clueless cunt, I don't give a flying one how priceless his right shin is to me.
FuriousFox46 Posted 24 August 2011 Posted 24 August 2011 From the knee up, Claridge is utterly worthless. Fact.
