Guest shearfox Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 We are more where we are because the other teams have been losing therefore moving us up positions. They have changed the system from the days when the USA were fourth but it's a rubbish system anyway and has no bearing on who is really better than who.
Corky Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 Three more places to go and then they'll be as good as the Test cricket side. Rugby World Cup and Olympics on the horizon. GreattimetobeanenglishsportsfanLAD.
BlueSi13 Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 Pretty decent. Not losing a game since last November certainly helps and not losing a competitive game for over a year doesn't do much harm to the ranking either. However on current form and judging by the strength in depth, Spain and The Netherlands are out there up front by a long way. The Netherlands really are incredible though, for a country the size of Yorkshire to constantly be fighting at the top of world football is truly staggering.

It shows they have a great grass roots system .... ENGLAND TAKE NOTE!!!!!
The Doctor Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 55th  Come on, drawing with Lithuania, only just beating Lichtenstein at home and losing v Czechs - how the hell are we 55th? Still, I remember a day when we were 14th in the world during the reigns of Walter & Old Big 'Eck.

Oh think the rise is because we beat Norway in a friendly a couple of weeks ago. Well I assume it is anyway.
