Guest MattP Posted 30 September 2011 Posted 30 September 2011 Dur - the chap who started the thread said he thought the current team was the worst in 40 years and last years team was in the past 40 years so it probably is relevant after all - agree on the MoN thingy but not that much - the team that lost 2-0 at home to Sheff Utd that caused the booing probably was the worst team I have ever personally witnessed, although most of the Pleat, McClintock and Taylor teams were pretty rank too So why pick last year? We have had so many teams far shitter, "look at last year" just seems to be the standard quote from Sven rimmers at the minute. Holloways side was the worst, it achieved something none of our other teams have ever done.
Raj Posted 30 September 2011 Posted 30 September 2011 Th O"neil arguement is this.... He may have been one game away from the sack. We would have lost our most successful manager ever if the board hadnt given him a little chance. It only needs one game for the whole thing to click(as we nearly saw at the last home game) The point(if there is one!!!) im trying to make is that Sven could guide us all the way to dizzy heights when and if it does click. The whole we are the crappest team for 40 years is just a rubbish as it is based on nothing of evidence in relation to some of the uppermost shite we have been served in the past(which you dont have to go that far to verify) Im rambling now....

MON was never a game from the sack, Martin George was the chairman at the time and he had bags of patience, he would of got until the end of season. I hate how that Sheff Utd day was referred to as well, it was about 200 people in the kop from what I remember protesting. I was never calling for his head and no one around me was. In fact I remember saying after the game despite the result Izzet looked a good player after his 15 min cameo. Sven's job isnt under threat, anyone who thinks that is an idiot, he has until at least xmas. I'm still not sure if he will do the business for us as I see him as far too negative, but we have nothing to gain from getting rid yet.
blueredswed Posted 30 September 2011 Posted 30 September 2011 I've been a city fan now for over 40 years so feel i'm entitled to an opinion however badly the forum bullies might abuse me for it-Sven is not, never has been and never will be the man for city, i've never seen a Sven team play with real passion and i'm sure his record bears this out, certain clubs need a certain type of manager and we just happen to be one of those-can't put my finger on it but when we get the right manager the fans know it and so do the players-i've not missed a game yet this season but i'm seriously thinking about not making the trip to the Riverside, our team is probably the worst team i've seen down here, we've got the likes of wellens, king and abe who are idolised but absolutely garbage, i've never seen a player play as badly week in week out as king yet he gets the nod every week--this really smacks of england in the sven days, i see us as having 3 premiership quality players, Casper, Beckford and Nugent-Beckford's struggling because we don't have a player in the team who can play the ball to him-simple as that, our corners and free kicks are abysmal and would not have been acceptable when o'neill was here--i've tried to avoid posting simply because of how people are ripped into for having their own opinion but just cannot stand being a part of this shit anymore-we are average average average and the long drive home on sunday really made me reflect-£150 for a day out for us on sunday to watch that shower of shit again! come on bullies abuse me! I can only say, is you areal Leicester fan or not? It is new time big spender not the old one....but I can also say if we don´t play good football so pay back our money! But this would not happend! Come on your sheep :scarf:

Doesn't seem relevant either - 200 boo boys or not it was that game everyone talks about and if you think we played well that day you must be delighted with the present team. Bit vulgar on the rimmers quote - no need really - Sven is the biggest name that has ever sunk to our level to manage us and lo and behold the plebs on here don't get it - it takes time to build a team, although he has only been building this one for 9 games, of which 2 he lost at the beginning of the season - 6 of which he has been unbeaten with 3 consecutive clean sheets - he has yet to play his preferred strike force together and yet he must be crap because we are not already promoted. Granted Pearson punched above his weight for about 50 games but we failed under him - actually got no further in the end than last year and before that it is 10 years since anything happened - players like Beckford and Nugent would not have come here without a big name manager and nowhere on this board has anyone come up with a name to replace Sven, apart from mark hughes who wouldn't be seen dead here. - Real supporters get behind their team - why don't you lot try - me, I'm off for some glory over at the Man City board.
