Is It Just Me Who Thinks We're Crap?

I don't even know what to say...

Human beings are never ****ing happy are they?

We are putting up a decent fight and being competitive in one of the toughest leagues in Europe this season, that is all I expect from our club.

Posted

I think some people would be happy to go down as long as the 11 on the field worked their nuts off in the process.

Sven is not the shouty type and his teams will never be the work themselves into the ground stick a foot in and be a bit nasty type.

We are heading in the right direction, consistency will see us up, and right now while not pulling up and trees we are winning at home and drawing away.... That is promotion form.

Now for ****s sake get behind your team and manager.

No it isn't just you. I question Sven sometimes, with his signings, tactics and selection but we are currently unbeaten and have picked up some good results already this season (Brighton, Coventry, Cardiff, Southampton etc) so, at the minute, I am happy.

I think we lack abit of consistency. We weren't very good against Brighton, but we were good against Cardiff and picked up a good point.

Its not the worst team in 40 years though. The worst team was under Holloway, hence we ended up somewhere where we have never been.

I'd maybe even go as far as saying the Pleat side that stayed up on the last game of the season was worse than holloways team,... only 2 went down that season as well

From what I have seen of us, we are very hit and miss. I believe that we have started poorly considering the investment! However the table shows that we are one of the better sides in the division, even though we are not playing to our potential.

You have to remember that we are only 8 games into the season, this is a team with many new faces who will become more settled & used to our style of play with each game. I can't see how our performances could get any worse? Maybe a few key injuries?

Overall time will tell, Sven has to have us within 4-6 points at least of 2nd by january because that's when we have to show the quality & bring in the points up until may for promotion.

I don't buy that crap anymore, even Sven alluded after the Cardiff game that this team has had enough time to "gel".

Take a deep breath and read what he said properly

this is a team with many new faces who will become more settled & used to our style of play with each game

Teams don't suddenly reach a maximum gelling point after 6, 7 or 8 games they continue to get to know each other and improve if given time which is exactly what was said.

I've been a city fan now for over 40 years so feel i'm entitled to an opinion however badly the forum bullies might abuse me for it-Sven is not, never has been and never will be the man for city, i've never seen a Sven team play with real passion and i'm sure his record bears this out, certain clubs need a certain type of manager and we just happen to be one of those-can't put my finger on it but when we get the right manager the fans know it and so do the players-i've not missed a game yet this season but i'm seriously thinking about not making the trip to the Riverside, our team is probably the worst team i've seen down here, we've got the likes of wellens, king and abe who are idolised but absolutely garbage, i've never seen a player play as badly week in week out as king yet he gets the nod every week--this really smacks of england in the sven days, i see us as having 3 premiership quality players, Casper, Beckford and Nugent-Beckford's struggling because we don't have a player in the team who can play the ball to him-simple as that, our corners and free kicks are abysmal and would not have been acceptable when o'neill was here--i've tried to avoid posting simply because of how people are ripped into for having their own opinion but just cannot stand being a part of this shit anymore-we are average average average and the long drive home on sunday really made me reflect-£150 for a day out for us on sunday to watch that shower of shit again!

come on bullies abuse me!

Wow really I forgot the relegated mickey Adams team was full of world beaters, not to mention Martin Allen's galactico's, I've been going for 15 years or so and from 2003 to 2009 we were a hopeless pile of shite, and now after 6 or so games or so because we are not top Sven must go! Jesus wept ever heard the story of the hair and the tortoise? These away draws could be crucial come the end of the season! Stop winging and get behind the lads!

I've been watching City for 31 years and all I will say is the Hamilton/Pleat and Taylor era takes some beating when it comes to shite players turning out for us.

And who could possibly exclude one of the worst decisions of all time LCFC history, to put a CB into CM at 19 years of age for what was pretty much his debut, Harry Worley, going to promotion chasing Stoke on the final day when we are battling for our lives!

Sven won't be our all time greatest manager but he'll always be remembered for the money he spent whether we go up or not.

If your looking at the current squad for passion under Sven then there's one or two who show the colours, but the same can be said of all teams now, there are no hero's no hardmen, not many players are exciting and that has tripped through onto the terraces, its not just Leicester City.

You wont get any change on here with being so negative. The bulk of this forum remain positive about our chances and quite rightly so. Sometimes this optimism verges on the ridiculous, sometimes its balanced and worth reading.

Just a note on your grammar... use some please..your stuff is very hard to follow.

I do agree with you about the Cardiff game... we werent a 'shower of shit' by any means, but if I'd shelled out 150 I'd have been pissed off too - not because we got a point, but because it was a dreadful game of football

lol Worst team in 40 years? That's quite a claim...

The team isn't playing as well as it should be, but seriously? I mean I'm not even that old, but I can remember players like Junior Lewis, Andy Johnson, Mark deVries, Elvis Hammond, Kevin Pressman...I mean these guys were hardly fit to be called professional footballers. I can remember under Holloway (and even under Pearson) when we would regularly go 50/60 minutes without a single shot on target. Compared even to our recent history, this team is better

if we win tonight and beat derby on saturday, cosmos will forget that he/she even stated this thread.... the word fickle comes to mind

COME ON YOU BLUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEESSS :scarf:

its not your or others oppinion that bothers me, its the amount of threads on the same damned thing. just look through the first 3 pages of this subsection and you will see.

i'm just going to put it out there, if you like it, you can take it, if you don't, send it right back......

the people who moan really hard, and are genuinely calling for sven to be sacked (not the constructive critics), are wind up merchants that support another team.

It really winds me up, how people rip into someone who has a negative opinion against Sven, its as if a negative opinion against him is almost forbidden, I agree with cosmos he isn't right for our Club and we should have never appointed him, he's old, past it and just here to increase his pension. Anyone who believes otherwise, and believes that there is no better people out there to run the team is absolutely deluded, its as simple as that, if we get less than a draw tonight, I will be demanding that the "trigger is pulled", we should be running away with this league, end of.

We haven't had back-to-back wins since February. Can't see them coming this week.

I forecast a defeat tonight, as we'll play for a 0-0 as happened on Sunday and concede in the last 10 minutes through lack of fitness.

This will leave us trailing the mighty PETERBOROUGH, among many others, in the division.

The excuses have to stop - even the players have acknowledged this.

Yeah, and it winds me up when people say this is the worst team we've had and they haven't seen a Sven team play with passion, whilst bringing up an example of a team who is struggling coming from behind to beat another team who is struggling.

Is MON the right way to go?

Corky, I'm not getting into who I want to run the team and who I don't, I'm just sick of people getting on someone's back because they have a different opinion to the majority, if someone doesn't rate him as a manager, then they don't rate him as a manager, that's their opinion and their entitled to it, you can't make people rate him, if they don't rate him, they don't rate him.

Posted

You must accept though that some of his opinions will be derided and probably mocked.

I know people don't rate him, I'm not trying to make people rate him, I'm just responding to posts I personally disagree with.
